BOYS BASKETBALL: Addison pummels Manchester

The Manchester boys couldn't keep up with Addison Friday night, as the Dutch were handed an 84-52 drubbing at the hands of the Panthers.

"Addison was here to play. We did not show up," a visibly upset Manchester coach Dave Arnold said.

The Panthers raced to a 20-9 lead after the first quarter. Addison built its lead by escaping Manchester's press and working the ball down low for easy buckets.

The Panthers held a 21-point lead at the break.

"There is a saying on the board: If you do what you always do, then you will get what you always get," Arnold said.  "We need to flip the script."

Reflecting back, Arnold said his team played with a different spirit when they faced Grass Lake earlier in the season and hopes for the same zest in the match up with the Warriors next Thursday for the final season match up.

The Dutch were lead in scoring with junior Ryan Stiles with 18 points and four steals.  Matt Kemner chipped in nine points and six rebounds.  Sophomore Jordon Heuser lead the boards with eight.
