Thanks to touchdowns from Jake Przybylo, Niko France and LaFranz Hemphill, Woodhaven took down visiting Truman 44-7 on opening night of the 2014 football season.

Przybylo finished with three rushing touchdowns for the Warriors (1-0, 1-0 Downriver League), while France had two touchdowns and Hemphill had one in the league battle against the Cougars (0-1, 0-1 DRL),

On Woodhaven’s first possession, Przybylo scored courtesy of a 61-yard run and on the ensuing possession France hit pay dirt from 46 yards out.

Przybylo later crossed the goal line on a 20-yard run and then followed it up with a six-yard scamper to the end zone the next time his team had the ball.

To add to the team’s big lead in the first half, Hemphill ran in a touchdown from five yards out.

The third quarter opened with France back deep to return the kickoff, which he promptly took back 86 yards for yet another Warriors’ touchdown and capped off his squad’s scoring for the evening.

This week, Woodhaven will travel to Southgate to face the Anderson Titans (1-0, 1-0 DRL) while the Cougars will head to Gibraltar to take on the Carlson Marauders (1-0, 1-0 DRL).
