After watching Carlson beat Roosevelt 1-0, Kennedy went on to defeat host Woodhaven 11-1 in a six-inning mercy. For the Eagles, starting pitcher Tyler Butzin didnít give up a hit or walk and struck out nine in six innings of work. At the plate, Kennedy scored three runs in the bottom of the first and then added three in the third, one in the fifth and finished off the mercy with four runs in the sixth. Jalen Bartos helped lead the Eaglesí 11-hit attack, as he went 3-for-4 with three RBIs, while Jake McLeod was 3-for-3 with one RBI, Tim Kozar was 2-for-3 with two RBIs, Cody Serafin was 2-for-3 with an RBI, Raymond Richard picked up one RBI and Butzin had one hit. In addition to base hits, Kennedy took advantage of errors, passed balls and sacrifice attempts to ultimately get runners across the plate during Saturdayís semifinal. The Warriors scored their only run in the fourth inning, after Jake Przybylo reached on an error, moved to second on a wild pitch, stole third and scored courtesy of an error.
