With the victory, the Titans advanced to take on host Woodhaven Saturday morning at 10 a.m. in the district semifinals. The winner of that contest will face either Roosevelt or Carlson for the championship later that day. On Tuesday afternoon, Anderson went up 1-0 in the first inning against the Eagles after Kennedy Caldwell walked to lead off and later came in to score on a fielder’s choice hit by Chelsea Crandall. In the third, the Eagles managed their lone run and tied the game, as Shelby Nester reached on a single and later scored on a double by Ashley Romanek. The Titans went back up by one after Allison Ortman stepped to the plate in the fourth inning and blasted a solo home run. Ortman reached base all three times in the contest, as she had singled earlier and later was walked. To kick off a three-run fifth for Anderson, Katelyn Shivel walked, Alexandrou singled and Crandall singled to knock in a run. Sacrifice fly balls hit by Julia Pagac and Celeste Black plated two more runs to make it 5-1, which would stand as the final. Kennedy managed only one other hit in the game, which was a fourth-inning double hit by Leanna Cloutier.
