DEARBORN — In softball action, Carlie Major was 2-for-3 and eight other Lady Jags each added one hit in the 11-1 victory over Dearborn Edsel Ford on Tuesday evening. Allen Park advances to play Lincoln Park on Saturday.



Girls Soccer

— Romulus Summit Academy 3, Henry Ford Academy 1 — (From Friday) Sahdia Washington scored all three goals and added an assist helping Summit Academy capture their fifth consecutive Charter School Conference Championship.

— Riverview Gabriel Richard 3, Taylor Baptist Park 0 — At Royal Oak, Abigail Parks, Danica Menna, and Julia Sattler each scored for the Pioneers as they advance to play Royal Oak Shrine on Thursday afternoon. Gabriel Richard also got assists from Christina Hammond, Madeline Felske, and Christyn Drumm on the day.



Boys Track and Field

— (From Sunday) Romulus Summit Academy placed fifth in the Wayne Country Championships. Garrett Novak placed second in the 1600 meter run. Otto Kasbauer finished in third place with a time of 4:58.16. Novak also finished the 3200 meter run 10:23.96 with his best time of the season. The 1600 relay team consisting of Otto Kasbauer, Jordan Johnson, A.J. Patrick, and Garrett Novak finished in third with a time of 3:54.16.



Girls Track and Field

— (From Sunday) Romulus Summit Academy finished fourth in the Wayne Country Championships. Kerstyn Kortier finished in first place in the discus throw with a distance of 75 feet. She also recorded a new personal best record. Sahdia Washington placed second in the shot put with a throw of 27-10. Kerstyn also finished in third place in the 3200 meter run with a time of 16:12.
