WOODHAVEN Shelby Kersten had three hits, two runs and two stolen bases to lead Trenton past Woodhaven, 5-4, in eight innings in Downriver softball action Tuesday.

Courtney Neff struck out seven to pick up the win for Trenton (10-5, 6-4 Downriver).


Allen Park Cabrini 5-3, Macomb Lutheran North 2-11 At Allen Park, Payton Harding pitched a complete game, striking out nine and giving up two runs, and he had a double and RBI at the plate for Cabrini. Domenic Fusco went 2-for-2 with a triple, two runs and two RBI for Cabrini (10-9, 5-7 CHSL AA). Lutheran North is 10-8 on the season.

Grosse Pointe Woods University Liggett 6, Allen Park Inter-City Baptist 1 At Grosse Pointe, Josh Estell went 3-for-3 and Nate Estell pitched a complete game for Inter-City Baptist (6-3) giving up six hits and two earned runs in the loss.

Taylor Kennedy 11-9, Taylor Truman 1-2 At Taylor, In game one Cody Serafin went 3-for-4 with a double, RBI, and two stolen bases while Aaron Ajrouche added two hits and an RBI to lead the Eagles. Raymond Richard recorded the victory on the mound and pitched four scoreless innings in relief for Kennedy (9-9, 7-5). In game two Jake Mcleod went 1-for-3 and three RBI and Ajrouche notched the complete game victory and struck out six helping Kennedy complete a sweep of the doubleheader.

Girls soccer

Summit Academy 8, Star International Academy 0,  From Monday, Grace Conti and Gia Scarcelli each tallied three goals and an assist for Summit (6-2, 1-0 CSC).
