SOUTHGATE: The Anderson Titans secured a spot in the Downriver League's Top 4 position round with a 7-0 win over Lincoln Park. Laekyn Jaciuk led the way for Anderson with four goals, putting her at 26 for the season. She also had two assists.

Jen Ibarra scored two goals and an assist and Andrea Thornsberry finished with one goal and two assists (15 assists for the season). Hallie Tingstad chipped in with a goal of her own.

The Titans start position round on Wednesday.

— Woodhaven 11, Melvindale 0 — Allison Manning had four goals, Abbey Lorenz added two goals and Cassidy Murray had four assists for Woodhaven (12-0-2, 8-0 Downriver League).

— Summit Academy 6, Hamtramck 1 — From Wednesday, Sahdia Washington had three goals and one assist. Grace Conti had one goal and two assists for the Lady Dragons (4-2).

Softball — Hailey Lazarek went 3-for-4 and blasted two home runs and had four RBI for Allen Park as the Jaguars knocked off Melvindale, 7-4, in softball action Monday.

Freshman Sammi Howell totaled three hits and crushed a solo home run of her own for Allen Park. Miranda Hebert got the win as she went the distance giving up three earned runs and striking out ten for Allen Park

— New Boston Huron 7-12, Milan 1-4 — At New Boston, Erika Yancy had five hits including a double, Alexa White added four hits including a double and a home run and Julie Littler had five RBI and two home runs for Huron. Summer Callahan had a four hit day. Courtney VanRiper got the win on the mound in game one and had three hits and a double at the plate. Julie Littler was the winning pitcher in game two and had her home runs in game two also for Huron (13-0, 6-0 Downriver League).

— Summit Academy 21, Chandler Park Academy 2 — From Friday, the Summit Academy’s Callie Hale was the winning pitcher with five strikeouts. Alexxes Hernandez had three singles and two RBI and Katie Bortz went 2-for-4 with a single and a RBI.
