ALLEN PARK — Luke Barber went 4-for-6 with two stolen bases, two RBI and scored the winning run in the first game as Allen Park Inter-City Baptist grabbed 5-4 and 9-3 victories to complete the doubleheader sweep of Novi Franklin Road Christian on Thursday evening. In the first game, Evan Kraatz went 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored. In the second game, Nate Estell was the winning pitcher and Krraatz recorded the save. Barber went 2-for-2 with two RBI and Estell went 1-for-4 with two RBI for Inter-City (4-2, 4-2).
— Riverview 7, Allen Park 5 — At Allen Park, the Jaguars suffered their first loss of the season as freshman Hailey Genaw’s three-run jack in the first was not quite enough to best the Pirates on Thursday night. Riverview had opened the scoring in the top of the inning with a two-run shot of their own, and their bats stayed hot enough throughout the day to earn the victory.
— Allen Park 7, Woodhaven 4 — (From Wednesday), freshman Sammi Howell picked up her second win of the season as she shut down a good-hitting Warriors team. Also for the Jaguars (5-0), Hailey Lazarek and Kailey Littleton both went 2-for-4 with two runs scored.
— Woodhaven 14, Taylor Kennedy 0 — (From Wednesday) Jenna Drumm scored three times and grabbed two assists, Allison Manning scored twice and had an assist. Courtney Acosta scored twice, Abbey Lorernz and Nicole Losek had two assists for Woodhaven (10-0-2, 6-0-0).
