Another girls’ basketball season is in the books and the locals girls did not disappoint this year.

It was all excitement for the Anderson girls, who dominated the Downriver League and knocked off league rival Woodhaven twice in the regular season and then again in the district final. The Titans only lost twice during the season, both non-league games, en route to a DRL title, district title and regional final appearance.

Also in the Downriver League the Allen Park girls won their first district title in 18 years and advanced to the regional semifinals.

In the Huron League it was an interesting fight to the end. Flat Rock secured back-to-back Huron League titles but was topped by Huron League rival Grosse Ile in the district semifinals. The Red Devils advanced to the finals where they were topped by another Huron League rival, the Huron Chiefs.
