TAYLOR — Maggie Piesz collected two hits and two walks and Southgate Anderson defeated Taylor Kennedy, 11-1, in softball action Wednesday.

Mikayla Alexandrou pitched six innings and struck out nine while going 3-for-4 with a walk at the plate for Anderson (2-1). Kennedy is 0-2.

— Romulus Summit Academy 19, Harper Woods Chandler Park 1 (3 innings) — From Tuesday, Amanda Demmy had a triple, home run and three RBI and Savannah Struski added a triple and an RBI for Summit Academy.

— Allen Park 10, Taylor Truman 0 (5 innings) — At Allen Park, Chelsea Warga went 3-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI and three runs scored, while Hailey Genaw went 3-for-3 with a double, two RBI and two runs scored for Allen Park. Miranda Hebert recorded the win on the mound for Allen Park, which improves to 1-0 on the season.

— New Boston Huron 10, Dearborn 0 — At New Boston, Courtney Vanriper and Erika Yancey paced the Chiefs’ offense accounting for five hits and two RBI. Lindsey Robbins added a hit and two RBI for Huron. Vanriper pitched four scoreless innings for Huron (1-0).

— Romulus Summit Academy 2, Romulus 0 — At Romulus, Sahdia Washington and Gia Scarcelli scored for Summit Academy, which earned its first win of the season.

— From Tuesday, the Wyandotte boys team defeated Gibraltar Carlson, 107.5-29.5, while Wyandotte’s girls defeated Gibraltar Carlson 102.5-30.5.
