SWIMMING: Trojans finish season with perfect league record

With the depth of the Trenton swim team, it was no surprise that the Trojans finished with a 6-0 league record and was 10-2 overall.

The Trojans kept rolling last week, adding more notches in the win column with wins over Lincoln Park, Taylor Co-Op and Ann Arbor Greenhills.

On Tuesday, the Trojans beat Taylor 96-74.

Wins came in the medley relay, 200 free, 200 IM, 100 fly, 500 free, 200 free relay and 100 breast with swims from Stephen Cameroon, Demitri Kakaris-Porter, Myles Lovase, Brett Murray, Jonathan VanPaeteghem, Andrew Wolsek, Cole Stotler, Alex Brock, John McNally, Brendan Warnick, Alex Ginn.

Two nights later, Trenton bested both Taylor Co-Op (100-68) and Ann Arbor Greenhills (100-34).

The Trojans won all three relays.

David O’Donnell, Tyler Stawowczyk, Noah Karrico and Alex Brock took first in the 200 medley relay and Vincenzo Guglielmetti, Alex Ginn, Thomas Wolsek and Johnny Diehl were first in the 200 free realay.

Brendan Warnick, Guglielmetti, Thomas Wolsek and Adam Mulka finished first in the 400 free relay.

Individually, O’Donnell was a double-winner in the 200 IM and the 100 back, and Mulka was a double-winner in the 200 free and 100 breast.

Johnny Diehl won the 50 free, Thomas Wolsek took the 100 fly and Brendan Warnick took the 500 free.

Sebastiano Pasquini won the diving event.

The Trojans will be at the Downriver League meet Wednesday, Thursday and Friday before preparing for the state finals in Holland.
