Five games will be played in two days at Southgate Civic Arena

The Southeastern Hockey League Showcase will take place this Friday and Saturday at Southgate Civic Arena.

A total of six games will be played over the two days, primarily featuring teams from the Downriver and Dearborn area.

Entry is $5 each day and allows access to all three of that day’s games.


Flat Rock-Airport and Richard will open the tournament with a 5:30 p.m. contest on Rink A, which will be followed by a game between Riverview and New Boston Huron, which is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

Dearborn Unified and Monroe SMCC will get things started Saturday at 5:30 p.m. with a contest on Rink A. Carlson and Anderson will square off next on Rink A in a Downriver battle scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

The Rink B game is set to start at 7 p.m. and will feature Grosse Ile and Dearborn Heights Crestwood.

*The Cabrini against Monroe game originally scheduled for Friday night has been canceled.
