Huron continued to assert its dominance last week with a pair of dual meet victories and another high finish at a tough invitational.
On Wednesday, the Chiefs hosted Monroe Jefferson, Allen Park and Melvindale for a quad and earned a pair of victories.
Huron defeated league opponent Jefferson 64-19 and Allen Park 57-20.
Seven Chiefs went 2-0 on the day including Judah Caballero (103 pounds), Brandon Brooks (119), Joe Ferguson (135), Aaron Escobar (140), Logan Ritchie (160), Deion Copely (215) and heavyweight Mike Long.
On Saturday, the Chiefs competed in the Leslie Blackhawk Invitational and finished second.
Manchester won the tournament with 226.5 points followed by Huron with 199.5.
The Chiefs crowned three champions as Ferguson (130), Ritchie (160) and Long all went 4-0 on the day.
Judah Caballero (103) and Escobar (140) each took second place, Brooks (119) and Copely (215) both finished third, Jon Wellman (112) and Nick Phelps (125) each took fourth and Ryan Skura finished fifth at 152.
The Chiefs (26-1, 7-0 Huron League) will compete in the Huron League Meet at Monroe Jefferson on Saturday.
Flat Rock also competed at the Leslie Blackhawk Invitational and finished seventh.
Dakotah Dockter was the lone Flat Rock champion at 215 after going 4-0.
Austin Kittle (145) and Colin Fater (160) each finished fourth while Jason Johnson (125) and Brandon Fisher (130) both finished fifth.
That same day, the Flat Rock JV wrestlers competed at the Warren Lincoln Invitational.
Nick Stedman (145) and Eric Antolak (189) each took first.
Mark Coplen finished third at 130 and Taylor Papineau (285) and Bailey Hill (171) each took fifth at the invite.
Earlier in the week, the Rams split a pair of duals with a win over Monroe St. Mary Catholic Central and a loss to Lincoln Park on Wednesday.
Flat Rock defeated SMCC 73-6 and fell to the Railsplitters 45-24.
Kittle (152) and Dockter (215) were the lone Rams to go 2-0 on the day.
