All Bowling Stories
Members of the Romulus High School varsity bowling team held a successful food drive in local schools and donated the goods to Helping Hand Thrift Store, which provides for the needy. Those present for the food drop-off were Chris Silvey (left), volunteer Ronnie Sue VanMinden, Lou Lanning, Coach Don Makowski, Helping Hand founder Florence Klein, Samantha Stobbe, Chase Vondrak, Colton Laginess, Gary Logerstedy and Rachel Leonard. Other bowlers participating in the service project were Jaylen Green, Katie Orr, Chelsi Hillard, Kaelon Knight, Cheyenne Adams and MEgan Dotson. Helping Hand is located at 37510 Huron River Drive, just west of Five Points and next to Romulus Lanes. The thrift shop is operated by volunteers and is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Donations are welcome and encouraged.
