BOWLING: Riverview sets season standard

Riverview hosted the second Huron League Bowling match of the season last week and set a new season standard with a 1,808 series in a win over Milan Red.

The Pirates’ Maroon squad got scores of 236 from Chris Dudek, 224 from Anthony Prior and Jake Ciesla and a 217 from Justin Ruhloff as they beat the Big Reds 21-9.

Despite losing the Milan Red team did post a 228 banker game, the highest in the league so far this season.

Riverview’s Gold squad beat Milan’s Black team 28-2 with Alan Doll rolling a 199 to lead the way and Riverview’s girls lost to Milan 26-4.

At the same match, Huron swept Flat Rocks boys’ and girls’ teams by identical 22-8 scores.

Tony Leo’s 257 game was a season high in the league and he led the Chiefs’ boys’ team. Aaron Wojtlyko” 244 score was Flat Rock’s Best.

Among the girls, Huron’s Madison Simmer fired a 198 and Flat Rock’s Lindsay Risen had 169.
