- Carleton Airport-Flat Rock 10, Grand Rapids Flames 2 – At Southgate, Clay Hightower scored three goals and had an assist. Kyle Sassak had three goals. Drew Wooten had a goal. T.J. Potcova had two goals. Ethan Cagle had a goal and three assists. Jacob Cole had two assists. Seth Robbins had an assist. Dalton Cummings had three assists. C.J. Page and Erik Frey split time in net for the win (13-8-1). The Jets play next on Tuesday against Monroe United.


- Flat Rock sent Junior Heavyweight Rick Ross through from individual regionals as he claimed the heavyweight title by achieving three first period falls. Joe Kidd (125) also will be representing the Rams in the individual districts.


- Allen Park Cabrini traveled to Eastern Michigan University compete in the 2017 MISCA Championships. Chris Day qualified for the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 1:04.48 which seeded him 49th in a field of 112 athletes. During the event, Day swam another state cut time finishing in a time of 1:04.83 giving him 69th place. It was the second time in less than two weeks that Day turned in a state qualifying time in the event. The remainder of the Monarch swimmers that did not attend the MISCA meet traveled to Woodhaven high school to compete in the "B" Meet Scrimmage. Cabrini sent eight athletes to the event and seven of the eight turned in at least one PR performance. The morning started with two PR swims in the 200 freestyle by Teagan Lechnar.and Chloe Roth. The team followed that up with a PR swim by Lauren Baird in the 200 IM. In the 50 freestyle, Anthony Garrett set a PR performance in his first swim of the day and followed that up with another in the 100 freestyle. Anthony's teammates Evan Trohimczyk and Elizabeth Krawczyk also set PR's in the event. In the 500 freestyle, Teagan Lechnar set another PR by cutting three seconds off her previous time. The final three PR's were set in the 100 Backstroke by Anna Christina Iglesias, Chloe Roth and Evan Trohimczyk.
