SOUTHGATE - Abbie Slate recorded 28 points, three steals, two assists and four rebounds and Allen Park earned a 55-52 win against Southgate Anderson in girls basketball action Friday.

Izzy Slate notched 13 points, three steals, three assists and six rebounds and Kendall Hamilton scored eight points and grabbed five rebounds for Allen Park (12-5 overall, 9-3 DRL). Julia Bogart led Anderson with 19 points and Alexis Calhoun contributed 15 points.

- Woodhaven 53, Lincoln Park 24 – At Woodhaven, Kennedy Johnson scored 16 points and had three steals. Markayla Hickman had 10 points and seven rebounds. Jillian Bonot had eight points. Lex Starks had six points and seven rebounds and Nettie Sails scored six points for Woodhaven.

- Gibraltar Carlson 61, Melvindale 28 - At Melvindale, Marauder Whitney Light led her team with 10 points and five rebounds. Fellow Marauder Sam Clark added seven points, five rebounds, three steals and three blocks. Melvindale’s (3-13) Natasha Tubbs scored 19 points for her team. The Gibraltar Carlson (8-9) team assisted on 16 of their 20 field goals.

- Trenton 49, Taylor Truman 15 - At Taylor, Trenton’s Therese Hebda scored 11 points, Morghan Crandall added seven points and McKenna Tanguay contributed six points. For Truman, Jamie Dixson scored seven points for her team. Trenton is now 14-2 overall and 10-2 in the Downriver League.

- Allen Park Inter-City Baptist 50, Plymouth Christian Academy 40 - Kallie McElroy scored 26 points. Mikayla Thompson scored 15 points for Inter-City. Robin Albert scored 17 points and Taylor Mistele scored nine points for Plymouth Christian.

Boys Basketball

- New Boston Huron 67, Monroe Jefferson 54 – At New Boston, Phil Martin and Brian Buchynski scored 10 points. Mike Szalay had nine points for Huron. John Cady scored his first points as well as a varsity player.

- Gibraltar Carlson 47, Melvindale 45 - At Gibraltar, Ian Stewart had the game-winning bucket to lead his team with a total of 11 points. Melvindale’s Montrez Fuster scored 18 points. Gibraltar Carlson is now 9-5 overall, it marked the Cardinals' first DRL loss of the season and was the Marauders' seventh win in a row.

- Riverview Gabriel Richard 59, Clarkston Everest Collegiate 46 – At Clarkston, Garrett Palazzi had 12 points. Tim Augustyniak had 12 points. Eric Wigginton finished with 11 points and Deshon Elam had 11 points for Gabriel Richard (14-1 overall, 9-1 CHSL Intersectional League Champs). Simon Fenske had 11 points. Thomas Thibodeau had 11 points. Alex Legg had 11 points for Everest (8-6, 6-3).

- Grosse Ile 46, Riverview 41 – At Grosse Ile, Matthew Frost scored 16 points while Justin Moores and Austin McNeil had 10 points for Grosse Ile.

- Allen Park Inter-City Baptist 58, Plymouth Christian 48 - At Allen Park, Nathaniel Pardo scored 24 points and Mason Howell added 12 points. Plymouth’s Matt Malcolm scored 19 points. Allen Park Inter-City Baptist is 4-11 overall and 3-7 in the league. Plymouth Christian is 9-6 overall and 6-4 in the league.

- Monroe St. Mary Catholic Central 54, Flat Rock 41 – At Monroe, Chad Tamsen scored nine points and Seth Bogataj scored eight points for Flat Rock.
