Thursday's prep roundup

BIRMINGHAM — Matt Osborn scored the lone goal late in the game as Bloomfield Hills Andover beat Birmingham Seaholm, 1-0 Thursday night in a OAA boys soccer game. The game was not only an OAA White matchup, but also saw two of the top teams in the state pitted against one another. Seaholm (4-3-1, 2-3 OAA White) is ranked fifth, while Andover (6-2-2, 4-1-1) is ranked seventh.

Bloomfield Hills Cranbrook Kingswood 4, Harper Woods 0 — At Harper Woods, Alex King scored two goals and Jeff Hammond added a goal and an assist for Cranbrook (4-0-1). Andrew Pichurko also scored for Cranbrook.



Novi Franklin Road Christian 2, Taylor Baptist Park 1 — At Taylor, Seth Rayburn and Tom Pickren each scored a goal and Stephen Troher made 17 saves in net for Franklin Road (4-0).



Summit Sports Club 3, Southfield Christian 2 — At Southfield, Patrick Meillis, Josh Eby and Tony Kisec each scored for Summit Sports (7-3). Sam Talbot and Brian Nimmo both had goals for Southfield Christian (4-3).

Clarkston 2, Troy 1 — At Clarkston, Brandon Verlinden and Isaac Platte both scored for Clarkston (7-2-1, 5-0-0 OAA Red) and Kevin Pinkos assisted on both Wolves goals.



Bloomfield Hills Lahser 3, Birmingham Groves 1 — At Bloomfield Hills, Jake Landis, Cody Henderson and Pat Garretson each scored for Lahser (4-3-2, 3-1-2 OAA White) and Zach Olmstead scored for Groves.



Walled Lake Western 7, Waterford Kettering 1 — At Waterford, Kyle Alsheskie scored two goals for Western (4-3-2) and Scott Rogers had the lone goal for Kettering (3-4-1).





Lake Orion 1, Stoney Creek 0 — At Lake Orion, Lake Orion’s Reed Losee scored the game’s lone goal. It came in the second half. Aram Keteyian earned the shutout in net for the Dragons.



Pontiac Northern 3, Hazel Park 2 — At Hazel Park, Pontiac Northern received goals from Fagee Yang, Miguel Arriaga and Humberto Avila as the Huskies improved to 2-4 on the season.



Waterford Our Lady of the Lakes 4, West Bloomfield Jewish Academy 2 — At West Bloomfield, Alex Franko scored two goals for Our Lady of the Lakes (4-2-1, 2-0-1 CHSL), while teammate Andrew Dickerson scored the game-winning goal in the second half. Jewish Academy’s (0-4) Aaron Folbe made 15 saves.

Clarkston 25-23-15, Montrose 13-25-5; Clarkston 25-25 Hartland 18-19 — At Hartland, Alyssa Craft had 12 kills, Alexis Egler put up 34 assists and Jenna Coates added 25 digs for Clarkston (11-4-1).



Holly 22-25-34-25, Ortonville Brandon 25-22-32-19, — At Holly, DJ Kwasiborski led Brandon (4-7-1, 0-1 Metro) with nine kills and three blocks, while Monica Walls had 23 assists. Jessica Lane added nine digs and was 15-for-17 on serve receive and Sara Jones had seven kills and three blocks for Brandon.



Walled Lake Central 25-25-25, Waterford Kettering 19-19-21 — At Walled Lake, Waterford Kettering’s (4-3, 0-1 KLAA) Lauren Meadows had nine blocks and six kills.



Holly 22-25-34-25, Ortonville Brandon — At Holly, Holly’s (7-6-1, 1-0 Flint Metro) Chelsea Mitchell had 30 assists to go with her five aces, while teammates Amelia Kerton and Dori Cheff had 12 kills each.



Birmingham Seaholm 25-25-25, Birmingham Groves 18-21-23 — At Birmingham, Seaholm’s Bridget Laverty had 16 digs, while teammate Alex Gothard had seven kills and Nicole Sarvis added five blocks. Groves (6-6-0, 0-2) was led by Jessie Best, who had 15 kills.



Oxford 25-25-25, Clio 7-13-8 — At Clio, Oxford’s (7-6-1. 1-0 Flint Metro) Brittany Moncrieff had five kills to go with her one block and nine digs, while teammate Marissa Manzella had three kills and two blocks.
