All Basketball - Girls StoriesBloomfield Hills Marian let Divine Child climb back into last Sunday’s Catholic League A-B championship game but didn’t let the Falcons stick around long. Divine Child (13-6) rallied from a 10-point halftime deficit to tie the game at the University of Detroit Mercy’s Calihan Hall but the Mustangs outscored the Falcons 18-8 in the final period to win 57-44. The Falcons scored the first 10 points of the third quarter to erase a 30-20 halftime deficit but never could take the lead. Marian led 39-36 by the end of the third and gradually pulled away in the final period to win the school’s 13th CHSL title. Riley Blair was plagued with foul trouble and led the Falcons with 15 points before fouling out late in the game. Morgan Blair added 11 point and Nicole Urbanick scored 10. Kara Holinski scored 15 points to lead the Mustangs (17-2). Bailey Thomas finished with nine and Brittany Gray and Laura Bruton each scored eight.
