1. West Bloomfield player allegedly assaults 67-year-old Stoney Creek coach – The story went viral, and that’s to be expected considering the circumstances of the post-game confrontation between the Cougars and Lakers.

2. Catholic Central sophomore standout football player David Widzinski dies – So much life ahead of him, and so much promise too, this young man’s life ended far, far too soon.

3. Bloomfield Hills Andover disbands program three weeks into season – Next year the Barons will be no more. It’s unfortunate that the team couldn’t finish out the 2012 season, its last at Andover.

4. Oxford families hope community can pull together to pay off blue turf field – In an effort to give the kids, and the community, something to be proud of, the Wildcat family is now doing everything it can to take care of business.

5. DUNLAP AND BURNSTEIN: Tape tells what really happened in West Bloomfield-Stoney Creek game – In this day and age (of technology), a story can twist and turn several times before it ever goes to print. Keith Dunlap and Scott Burnstein can attest to that.

6. PREP FOOTBALL PREVIEW: The Oakland Press’s Top 75 players of 2012 – One look at this list and you’ll see just why Oakland County football teams are always fighting for state championships come November.

10. WRESTLING FINALS: Track your teams and your wrestlers here – There were 79 Oakland County wrestlers wrestling at The Palace. This is the place to go to track each and every one of their accomplishments.

11. 2012 Oakland County Baseball Preview: Foley’s Brett Sunde tops the list of Top 60 Oakland County players – Great baseball teams are made up of great players. Just look down this list to see the best of the best in Oakland County.

12. 2012 All-Oakland County squad will go down in history – Three years from now this group of players may very well be accomplishing big things at the next level, or the level after that.
