Brighton scored three goals in 3 minutes and 15 seconds late in the second period to break wide open a tight hockey game to lead the Bulldogs to a 6-1 victory over the South Lyon Unified Team Wednesday evening at the Kensington Valley Icehouse.

Brighton was led by sophomore goalie Jimmy Milletics, who made some big saves while stopping 22 of 23 shots. Two of the Brighton goals came on the power play, with a momentum changing 5 on 3 goal, with only 1:41 left in the first.

Brighton goal scorers were Aaron Sturos, Troy Marrett (2), Zack Morgan, Luke Morgan and Alex Sauchak. Assists went to Joey Clifford (2), Michael Yuhasz (2), Brett Pietilla (2), Luke Morgan, Joe Borst, Brian Dowd, Danny Bosio and Tyler Hayes.

South Lyon's lone goal scorer was senior Alex Hudgens, with the assists going to senior Grant Widger and junior Corey Robertson. Junior goalie Aaron Callan made 22 of 28 saves for South Lyon.
