AUBURN HILLS – In baseball action, Auburn Hills Avondale pounded out 17 hits as the Yellow Jackets defeated Bloomfield Hills 19-2 to clinch a share of the OAA Blue title on Thursday.

Brandon Wynn went 3-for-4 with a three-run home run and four RBI. Adam Mansfield went 2-for-3 with five RBI. Brendon Down went 3-for-3 with two RBI. Charlie Smith pitched all four innings, he gave up just one hit and three strikeouts for Avondale (21-10, 7-5 OAA Blue).

Bloomfield Hills (17-10, 6-5).

The winner of the Bloomfield Hills and Troy Athens contest (which was postponed due to weather earlier in the year) will share the division title with Avondale next week.

- Southfield A&T 2, Royal Oak 1 – At Southfield, Jamie Bartelotti recorded a hit and an RBI for the Ravens. Jake Isaacson pitched six and two thirds innings with six strikeouts in the loss. Christian Blakely and Khalil Smith recorded a hit. Smith had an RBI. Danny Little recorded a complete game with eight strikeouts for A&T. Royal Oak starting pitcher Jake Isaacson (4-1) went the distance, allowing only one hit, with one walk and added six strikeouts (15-6, 8-3). Five errors allowed both Southfield runs to be unearned and proved costly. A&T clinches OAA Gold title.

- Farmington 22, Farmington Hills Harrison 6 - At Farmington Hills, Matt Lane went 3-for-4 with four runs scored and four RBI, Jack Politowicz added three hit and three RBI and Steve Flowers went 2-for-3 and had two RBI for the Falcons (18-11, 7-6 OAA White). Harrison (12-13).

- Troy Athens 6, Birmingham Groves 4 - At Birmingham, Jeremy Murphy went 3-for-4 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored, Joey Stark went 2-for-4, with two doubles, three RBI and a run scored and Ben Risse was 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI for Athens (13-10). For Groves, Zavier Warren went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI, Andrew Martin had a pinch hit RBI single in the 7th, and Harrison Cole drew three walks. Birmingham Groves is now 28-4 overall and 13-1 in OAA White.

- Birmingham Detroit Country Day 12, Rochester 10 - At Beverly Hills, John Barnwell recorded the win and added two hits to his cause. Anthony Toma went 3-for-4, Parker Pilat had two hits and two RBI and Nick Neibauer added two hits and three RBI for the Yellowjackets (20-6).

- Warren De La Salle 13, Oxford 7 – At Oxford, Zak Schwering went 3-for-4 with three singles an RBI and a run scored. Justin Allen and Cam Marshall had two hits apiece. Connor Romine pitched four innings and recorded six strikeouts for Oxford. Evan Brunning took the loss on the mound.

Softball

- Sterling Heights Parkway Christian 17, Southfield Christian 2 – At Sterling Heights, Emma Paryaski went 2-for-2 with a double, scoring one run and grabbing an RBI for Southfield Christian. Maranda Sailor and Faith Crosby added a hit. Tiara Francisco walked and scored a run. On defense, she threw out a runner attempting to steal. The Eagles play tomorrow at Hazel Park at 4:30 p.m.

- Birmingham Seaholm 20-18, Birmingham Groves 8-10 – At Birmingham, In the first game, Elle Lewandowski recorded a grand slam. Sarah Hegel recorded a three-run home run and Reagan Hurd hit a two-run home run. In the second game, Kate Bridges, Alison McClear, Erika MacArthur and Hurd banged out four hits each to lead the Maple onslaught. Pitchers MacArthur and Abby Righter benefited from the Maple attack in the circle.

- Ortonville Brandon 15-0, Rochester Adams 11-10 – At Rochester, In the first game, Maggie Gasiorowski had two hits, one run and five RBI. Hannah Tyree had two hits and a run scored. Mary Nash had two hits, three runs scored and an RBI. Emma Curran added two hits, two runs scored and two RBI. Abby Wozniak had three runs scored and a hit. In the second game, Curran pitched a three-hit shutout with four strikeouts. Tyree added two hits, two runs scored and three RBI. Sarah Judis had two hits, two runs scored and two RBI. Nash added two hits, one run and one RBI. Curran added a hit, two runs and two stolen bases for Adams (9-14).

- Madison Heights Lamphere 12, St. Clair Shores South Lake 0 – At St. Clair Shores, Rachael Schorn struck out six and gave up only one run in the MAC silver victory. Extra base hits earning RBI came from Julia Roell, Shaylia Richardson, Alexis Wark, Sarah McGinnis and Ashley McKigney. Elissia Vecere, Sarah Barrett and Schorn also pitched in with hits and also scored (12-6, 4-5 MAC Silver).

- Rochester Hills Lutheran Northwest 11, Allen Park Inter-City Baptist 2 - At Rochester Hills, Madison Macy picked up the win, striking out seven. Brynn Cudney drove in four runs. Macy went 3-for-4 with two RBI for Lutheran Northwest (14-3).

- North Farmington 6, Farmington 3 - Sam Cherney pitched a complete game giving up just four hits and recording 12 strikeouts. Mara Sczecienski added two hits and an RBI. Maeve O'Hare added a hit and two RBI. Molly Simpson recorded two hits and both Cherney and Izzy Randel had a hit for the Raiders (9-13-1). North Farmington will play in the Canton Tournament on Saturday.

- Royal Oak 8-12, Farmington Hills Harrison 1-7 - At Farmington, Marissa Krynak was the starter for Royal Oak with six scoreless innings, she gave up six hits striking out eight. Hannah Lefave went 3-for-4 with a run scored and Mallory. Dubay was 2-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI. Krynak added a hit and two RBI and Lily O'Branovic had a sacrifice and an RBI for Royal Oak. In the nightcap, winning pitcher Emily Alton gave up nine hits and struck out eight. Lefave went 3-for-3 with a walk, a run scored, and three RBI. Dubay went 2-for-3 with a walk, two runs scored, and an RBI. Catcher, Casey Meissner, was 3-for-4 with two RBI. Raven Annie Rabon was 2-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBI. Lily O'Branovic went 1-for-3 with two runs scored and an RBI. At the end of the night, the Royal Oak Ravens earned the league champs title.

- Milford 10, Livonia Churchill 7 - At Milford, Hailey Curtis was the Mavericks winning pitcher tossing five and ⅔ innings with six runs and 11 hits. Koryn Pennebaker had a double and an RBI Riley Simlar doubled with one RBI. Hunter Stringfellow and Kayla Pennebaker each had a single and an RBI. Audrey Petoskey homered in the 6th inning.

Girls Soccer

- South Lyon 5, Livonia Franklin 0 - Rachael Sweigard scored two goals. Lexi Bowman, Meghan Pfile and Kylie Davis added a goal for South Lyon.

- Troy Athens 3, North Farmington 1 - Alli Leonard had a goal and an assist. Alexis Rogers and Lindsey Boots added a goal. Skyla Gebauer and Ashley Leonard had an assist for Athens.

- Fenton 3, Holly 1 (From Wednesday) - Amy Scruggs scored the lone goal for the Bronchos (5-1-9, 3-5 FML)

- Hartland 5, Milford 0 (From Tuesday) - Milford took the loss on the road.

Boys Lacrosse

- Lake Orion 19, West Bloomfield 0 - At Lake Orion, Willie Hauser scored three times, Nick Fletcher added two goals and Joe Cady also scored for Lake Orion.

Girls Lacrosse

- Bloomfield Hills Cranbrook-Kingswood 22, Birmingham United 9 - At Birmingham, Co-Captains Grace Murray and Grace Fischer led the Birmingham offense with three goals apiece.

- Farmington Hills Mercy 17, Wixom St. Catherine of Siena 2 (From Wednesday) – The Stars took the loss on the road.

Boys Golf

- Madison Heights Lamphere 174, Warren Mott 184 - The Rams were led by seniors Ben Weide, Austin Chrysler and Phillip Martin. This was the 19th consecutive win in the MAC Silver for the Rams.

- Madison Heights Lamphere 174, Eastpointe East Detroit 235 - (10-0, 10-0 MAC Silver).

- (From Wednesday) Royal Oak finished in 10th place with a score of 345 in the Oakland County Division 2 Tournament at Crystal Lake. Ben Brewster shot an 81 for the Ravens.

- (From Wednesday) Ortonville Brandon finished in third place at the Flushing Invitational with a team score of 364. Brett Hobson (80); Nic Hobson (86); Spencer Kochan (94) and Brennan Baldwin (104) led the way for Brandon. Hobson was the individual tournament champion after a two-hole playoff.

Girls Tennis

- Madison Heights Lamphere competed in the tennis regional held at Bloomfield Hills Cranbrook-Kingswood as Lamphere finished with five points. Min Li and Destiny Michaels recorded a point at three and four singles. Meghan Brink and Joelyana Hermiz recorded a point at three and four doubles (9-2-3, 4-0-1).

- Brandon Wynn, Auburn Hills Avondale baseball - Wynn went 3-for-4 with a three-run home run and four RBI as Auburn Hills Avondale defeated Bloomfield Hills 19-2 on Thursday. Avondale a share of the OAA Blue title and will share the title with the winner of Bloomfield Hills and Troy Athens contest that will be made up next week.

- Madison Macy, Rochester Hills Lutheran Northwest softball - Macy picked up the win, striking out seven. On offense, she went 3-for-4 with two RBI in the 11-2 win over Allen Park Inter-City Baptist on Thursday.

- Maggie Gasiorowski, Rochester Adams softball - Gasiorowski had two hits, one run and five RBI as Adams split the doubleheader with Ortonville Brandon losing the first game 15-11 and winning the second game 10-0 on Thursday.

- Nina Khaghany, Birmingham Detroit Country Day girls tennis – Khaghany didn’t drop a single set in the Division 3 regional as Country Day recorded 24 points to capture the title on Thursday.
