TROY - Olivia Warrington picked up a pair of pitching victories and Clarkston earned a doubleheader sweep of Troy in softball action Tuesday.

Warrington struck out eight in the opener, which Clarkston won, 8-1, and also had two hits offensively with two RBI, while teammate Sierra Kersten doubled twice and drove in two runs and Paige Blevins contributed three hits and an RBI for the Wolves. Miranda Urban scored on a double from Julia Calnen in game one for Troy. In the five-inning finale, which Clarkston won, 11-1, Warrington limited the Colts to two hits and collected two hits of her own at the plate, Abbey Tolmie supplied three hits and three RBI, Abbey Barta provided a three-run double and Kersten rapped a solo homer for Clarkston. For Troy, Urban doubled and scored her team’s only run in the nightcap on a triple from Brittaney Malaga.

- North Farmington 2, Stoney Creek 1 - At Rochester Hills, in the opener, Sam Cherney allowed three hits and struck out eight to pitch a complete game, Mara Sczecienski and Sarah Fish each added two hits and Cherney and Maeve O’Hare each contributed a hit and an RBI for North Farmington (6-10-1 overall, 4-3-1 OAA Red). The second game was called after 10 innings with the teams tied, 5-5, and will be completed if the outcome affects the final league standings.

- Sterling Heights 16, Madison Heights Lamphere 14 - At Madison Heights, Alexis Wark totaled two doubles, three RBI and a pair of runs scored, Rachael Schorn notched two doubles and two RBI, LeeAnna Radick and Jensyn Shaw each provided a run-scoring double and Julia Roell and Sarah McGinnis had a hit apiece for Lamphere (10-5 overall, 2-3 MAC).

- Rochester Hills Lutheran Northwest 7, Auburn Hills Oakland Christian 2 - At Auburn Hills, Madison Macy was the winning pitcher as she struck out seven and went the distance. Grace Van Dellen had two hits and two RBI for the Crusaders (9-3, 4-1 MIAC Blue). Oakland Christian is 1-5 in the league.

- Allen Park Inter-City Baptist 8, Southfield Christian 6 - At Southfield, Inter-City Baptist scored five first-inning runs and hung on. Grace Gilson had two doubles, scored a run and knocked in two more. She also struck out nine in 5 ⅓ innings of relief while not allowing an earned run. Tiara Francisco scored two runs for the Eagles (7-3). Emma Paryaski doubled, drove in a run and scored another while Maranda Sailor also scored and knocked in a run.

- Waterford Our Lady of the Lakes 6-12, Macomb Lutheran North 0-3 - At Waterford, Hannah Davies struck out 33 batters in the doubleheader sweep. She struck out 17 batters in the opener. Offensively, Olivia Hankey went 1-for-3 with a double and Kayla Sanders had a double and drove in three runs. Brianna Piot knocked in two runs. In the second game, Davies struck out 16 and walked two, and helped herself with three hits, including a homer, and drove in three runs. Caroline Kramer delivered two hits and two RBI, while Olivia Hankey erupted for two hits and four RBI.

- Waterford Kettering 11, Waterford Mott 0 (5 Innings) - At Waterford, Madison French struck out 12 in dealing a no-hitter in the circle for Kettering.

- Oxford 9, Lake Orion 1 - At Lake Orion, Madison Dinges had four hits and Chloe Allen contributed three hits and four RBI. Kaitlyn Bean pitched a complete game, striking out 15. Gabby Dinges and Sarah Tyrrell both had two RBI for Oxford.

- Madison Heights Bishop Foley 11-13, Wixom St. Catherine 5-5 - At Wixom, Emille Dover was the winner in the circle for game one, striking out 13. She also had a double and walked twice. Kayla Moore had three hits and drove in two runs, while Mary Myers reached base four times and drove in two runs. For the Stars, Megan Cermack, Maddie Campagna, Lizzy Turek and Rachel Johnston all provided two hits. In the second game, Brooke Imrick got the pitching win in totaling eight strikeouts. Elle Laurencelle reached base four times and drove in two runs and Becky Skipinski smoked a three-run triple for Foley (13-4 overall, 11-3 CHSL). Cermack led the Stars with three hits. The Ventures play Macomb Lutheran North for the league championship on Wednesday.

- Troy Athens 4-2, Rochester Adams 0-6 - At Troy, Athens was led in the opener by pitcher Lanie Ellinger, who threw a one-hit shutout and fanned 13 in the circle while finishing 2-for-3 with a triple at the plate, Mikayla Kirtland, who went 2-for-3, and Megan Larose, who had a hit and two RBI for Athens, while Hannah Tyree struck out four in the circle for Adams. In the nightcap, Lindsay Densmore totaled two hits and two RBI, Brynna Garden had two hits and a run scored, Christina Churay had two hits and Mary Nash added two RBI, while Emma Curran picked up the win in the circle for Adams (6-6). Athens (5-10) was led by Kirtland, who was 2-for-4, and Payton Ellinger, who went 2-for-2 with a double and scored both runs.

- Lakeland 7, Hartland 6 - (From Monday) At White Lake, Elizabeth Langley’s two-run single in the bottom of the seventh gave Lakeland the victory. Madelin Skene had a grand slam for Hartland and Brooke Cowan also homered. Teresa Menzel earned the win for Lakeland, as she tossed six innings, giving up five runs, six hits, and striking out five. Skene took the loss for Hartland. Bri Robeson added two hits for Hartland. Rianna Koteles had three hits for Lakeland.

Baseball

- Birmingham Detroit Country Day 10, Macomb L’Anse Creuse North 0 (5 Innings) - At Beverly Hills, Steve Mann earned the win on the mound in dealing five scoreless innings and striking out four while also finishing 1-for-1 with a two-run home run and three runs scored at the plate and Parker Pilat was 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles and four runs driven in for Detroit Country Day (18-3).

- Clarkston Everest Collegiate 9, Bloomfield Hills Cranbrook-Kingswood 8 - At Bloomfield Hills, Alex Earnhardt went 2-for-4 with two RBI, Grant Burgess finished 2-for-4 with a double, Thomas Thibodeau was 2-for-4 with two RBI and a walk, Luke Luttinen finished 2-for-4 with an RBI and Mitch Rozwadowski went 3-for-4 with a pair of RBI for Everest Collegiate.

- Southfield A&T 4, Birmingham Groves 3 - At Lathrup Village, George Osborne dealt 6 1/3 innings, allowing one earned run on two hits and striking out five, Khalil Smith earned the win on the mound in finishing the game and Tony Lyons went 2-for-3 with two RBI and a walk at the plate for Southfield A&T. Harrison Cole doubled and drove in a run for Groves.

- Royal Oak 19, Ferndale 0 (4 Innings) - At Ferndale, Rob DeBastos allowed two hits and three walks while striking out five to earn the win on the mound, Jamie Bartelotti contributed two hits, two stolen bases and four runs driven in, David Lundeen supplied three RBI and Dan Romito totaled two hits and an RBI for Royal Oak (12-2 overall, 7-0 league).

- Walled Lake Northern 8, Pinckney 3 - At Walled Lake, Nick Powell went 2-for-4 with two runs scored and a pair of RBI, Carter Farr added two hits and a run scored and Zach Brunet, Bob Jones and Domenick Florenzano also drove in runs for Northern. Brunet got the win on the mound, going five innings and giving up three hits and one earned run while Florenzano pitched the last two innings and struck out three for the Knights.

- Walled Lake Northern 10, Grand Blanc 2 - At Walled Lake, Tommy Larson totaled three hits, including a pair of doubles, and two RBI, Nick Powell, Zach Brunet, Jake Frelich and Bob Jones all contributed two hits each, and Frelich also scored twice for Northern. AJ Sterling knocked in two runs and Jack Powell pitched the final 3 ⅓ innings, giving up just two hits, while picking up the pitching win for the Knights (15-7 overall, 8-5 KLAA).

- Hartland 12, Waterford Kettering 1 (6 innings) - At Waterford, the Eagles take the victory in six innings over Kettering.

- Lakeland 14, Hartland 4 - (From Monday) At White Lake, Lakeland posted the five-inning victory.

- Rochester 6, Stoney Creek 1 - (From Monday) At Rochester, Doug Propson had three hits and Tyler LaMendola added two hits and an RBI for Stoney Creek.

- Ortonville Brandon 10-3, Flint Kearsley 0-0 - (From Monday) At Flint, Jason Young collected a five-inning shutout while striking out seven. Dusty Dickens had two hits, two runs scored and two RBI, Jacob Carney supplied two hits, two runs scored and an RBI, and Zach Bunting added two hits and scored twice for the Blackhawks. In the second game, Jared Halteman ran his Flint Metro League scoreless innings streak to 21 straight, as he posted a three-hit shutout while striking out 11. Dickens and Carney both had two hits.

- Farmington 12-7, West Bloomfield 4-4 - (From Monday) At Farmington, the Falcons notched the doubleheader victory. Collin Finn gave up one run in six innings while striking out six in the first game. Deven Mahanti had three hits and an RBI to lead the offense. In the nightcap, Elliott Edsall dealt five-plus innings and struck out seven on the mound, Scott Newhard went 1-for-2 with three RBI for Farmington (16-7 overall, 5-4 OAA White).

- Farmington 5-11, Ida 4-1 - (From Sunday) In the 10-inning opener, Luke Morrissette went 2-for-5 with a pair of RBI and two runs scored, including the winning run on a 10th-inning wild pitch, Jack Politowicz finished 4-for-4 and Alex Mangrum got the win on the mound for Farmington. In the finale, Damon Manasa went 2-for-4 with three runs scored, Zach Dickson doubled and tallied three runs driven in, Dylan Finn earned the pitching win and Carlos Allen recorded the save on the mound for Farmington.

- (From Saturday) At Birch Run, Ortonville Brandon was defeated by the host team 8-3 and Almont 9-8 at the Cat Classic tournament at Birch Run.

- Birmingham Roeper 6, Allen Park Inter-City Baptist 2 - At Allen Park, Evan Akkashian earned his second win going six innings striking out eight. Charlie Uchno and Griffin Siegel each added two RBI, Zack Zarewych also scored a run and added an RBI for Roeper.

Girls Soccer

- Southfield Christian 8, Birmingham Roeper 0 - At Birmingham, Taylor Barry finished with two goals and an assist, Jessica Hanson supplied a goal and two assists and Allison Sullivan, Libby Sanders, Kendall Huff, Elissa Ellington and Grace Allan all chipped in with a goal for Southfield Christian.

- Pontiac Notre Dame Prep 5, West Bloomfield 0 - At West Bloomfield, Celia Gaynor scored two goals for Notre Dame Prep (9-3-2). Elle McGuire contributed a goal and an assist, while Stephanie Maniaci and Maura Kruse also scored.

- Birmingham Seaholm 8, Farmington Hills Harrison 0 - At Birmingham, Cate Brown, Ava Forte and Natalie Erne each scored two goals for the Maples. Maddie Sparks and Ashley David also scored, while Zoe Gaffney and Katie O’Connor each had two assists and Erne, Olivia Graham and Bella Rodrigues added one apiece. Grace Allen recorded the shutout in net for Seaholm, which is the OAA Blue champion.

- North Farmington 3, Farmington 1 - At Farmington, Olivia Elby, Gabriella Sgambati and Abby Hegarty scored for North Farmington while Hegarty and Haley Collin added assists.

- Royal Oak 1, Auburn Hills Avondale 1 - At Auburn Hills, the teams finished in a deadlock.

- Northville 3, South Lyon 0 (From Monday) - At South Lyon, Sarah Noonan, Roan Haines and Megan Williams scored for Northville. Carlie Castiglione and Ellie Thallman both contributed to the shutout with a combined eight saves for Northville (5-6-3).

- Wixom St. Catherine 8, West Bloomfield Frankel Jewish Academy 0 - (From Monday) At West Bloomfield, among the goal scorers for St. Catherine (5-5) were Sofia Iaquinto, Jaidyn Bozyk, Bianca Ivezaj, Sophia Ivezaj, Mary Herrmann, Gabby Green and Kyleigh Peterson.

- Hartland 18, Pontiac Notre Dame Prep 4 - At Pontiac, Ryan Genord and Lorenzo Minaudo each tallied two goals for Notre Dame Prep (7-6).

- Lake Orion 11, Warren De La Salle 10 - At Lake Orion, Scout Ciora finished with five goals, including scoring the game-winner with 53 seconds remaining in the contest, Chris French tallied four goals and Peyton Gasche had three assists for Lake Orion (12-3).

- Huron Valley United 9, Howell 8 (OT) - (From Monday) At Howell, Danny Yates had three goals and Andrew Simonich tossed in a pair. Logan Shureb notched the game-winner with 34 seconds left in overtime. Jacob Calderon, Brendan Thelen and Zachary Keil also scored for the Titans while goalie Dakota Racine had 12 saves, including two on breakaways in overtime. Thelen, Keil and Jeff Duncan each added two assists.

- Hannah Davies, Waterford Our Lady of the Lakes softball - Davies racked up 33 strikeouts as the Lakers swept Macomb Lutheran North, 6-0 and 12-3, on Tuesday. She also delivered at the plate with three hits in the nightcap, including a homer, and drove in three runs.

- Madison French, Waterford Kettering softball - French tossed a no-hitter and struck out 12 as Kettering topped crosstown rival Waterford Mott, 11-0, in five innings on Tuesday.

- Steve Mann, Birmingham Detroit Country Day baseball - Mann tossed a five-inning shutout in a 10-0 win over Macomb L’Anse Creuse North on Tuesday. He helped himself at the plate, scoring three runs and smacking a two-run homer.
