AUBURN HILLS - In baseball action, Jake Pershern recorded the win striking out 10 batters in the opener as Auburn Hills Avondale recorded the doubleheader sweep over Berkley 4-3 and 6-0 respectively on Monday.

In game one, Adam Mansfield drove in two runs and Conner Gubariu added two hits and an RBI to lead the offense for Avondale.

Rory McKelvey added two hits and Kyle Domzalski added a hit. Tae Whinham and Drake Monroe had an RBI. David Austin pitched six innings with five strikeouts for Berkley.

In the nightcap, Brandon Down pitched a complete game and recorded four strikeouts Ben Steves went 2-for-4 with two RBI and Josh Richter added two hits for Avondale (16-8).

Josh Litchman had a pair of hits. Blake Ratliff pitched four and two thirds innings for Berkley.

- Walled Lake Northern 5, Walled Lake Central 1 – At Walled Lake, Jake Haver pitched a complete game on the mound with 10 strikeouts. On offense, he went 1-for-3 with a double. Carter Farr went 1-for-1 with a home run and a walk. Zach Brunet went 3-for-4 with an RBI. Kyle Gilbert went 2-for-3 with an RBI for the Knights (13-7, 6-5).

- Milford 7, Walled Lake Northern 6 – In the first game, Nick Friedman had four hits. Nick Beether and John Porter had a pair of hits. Porter added four RBI while Friedman and Devin Ogg had an RBI. Harvey Freed pitched four innings on the mound for Milford. Jake Haver; Kyle Gibson, and Nick Powell all had a hit and an RBI for Northern. Milford rallied from a 5-3 deficit in the seventh inning.

- Pontiac Notre Dame Prep 2, Bloomfield Hills 1 - At Pontiac, River Shea struck out 10 in seven innings pitched and allowed one earned run to nab the pitching win for Notre Dame Prep.

- Royal Oak 16, Ferndale 1 (4 Innings) - At Ferndale, David Lundeen struck out seven to earn the pitching win, Sean Marshall finished with two hits, three RBI and three runs scored, Matt Isaacson provided a two-run double and Rob DeBastos supplied a two-run single for Royal Oak (11-2 overall, 6-0 OAA).

- Warren De La Salle 8-12, Orchard Lake St. Mary’s 3-2 – In the first game, Blake Bean had a pair of walks and Dillon Kark had two RBI. Logan Wood pitched six and two thirds innings with eight strikeouts for OLSM. Bryce Bush had a hit and two walks while Jake Badalamenti had three RBI for De La Salle. In the second game, Damon Leja had a pair of walks. Kark pitched five innings and recorded seven strikeouts for OLSM. Ben Hyndman recorded three hits on offense and pitched five innings to get the win on the mound. Bush added three RBI for the Pilots.

- Auburn Hills Oakland Christian 7, Sterling Heights Parkway Christian 5 - Richard Steffan earned the win on the mound by dealing four innings, allowing no earned runs and striking out five and Mike Sweeney finished 2-for-3 with a pair of RBI for Oakland Christian (11-4).

- Southfield A&T 16-16, Hazel Park 0-2 - At Hazel Park, in the four-inning opener, George Osborne finished 3-for-4 with a triple, John Darby was 2-for-3 with a double and Chris Blakeley pitched a four-inning shutout on the mound for Southfield A&T. In game two, the Warriors earned the win.

- Lakeland 14, Hartland 4 - At White Lake, Grant Burns had two hits, two runs and two RBI, Cade Parmeter had two hits, two runs and three RBI and Trent Farquhar had two hits and three RBI for Lakeland (17-5), which received Spencer Schorling win on the mound.

- Bloomfield Hills Cranbrook-Kingswood 11-5, Allen Park Cabrini 2-3 - At Bloomfield Hills, In the first game, Ken Schumacher recorded the win on the mound as he pitched a complete game giving up two hits, two runs and recorded six strikeouts. Tristian Knoer, Alex Finney, Max Musyj, Jack Fairman and Kyle Rechter each had two hits. In the second game, Knoer recorded the win on the mound as he pitched a complete game giving up with four hits, three runs and grabbing three strikeouts. Musyj went 1-for-3 with three RBI and Andrew Mertz went 1-for-3 with an RBI for the Cranes (6-14). Cranbrook faces Clarkston Everest Collegiate tomorrow.

- Birmingham Groves 10-6, North Farmington 0-0 - At Beverly Hills, in the six-inning opener, Michael Pastoria was 3-for-3 with a double, three RBI and two runs scored, Nate Higley was 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored, Connor Bradbury finished 1-for-2 with a walk and a pair of runs scored, Harrison Cole went 2-for-4 with a double, an RBI and a run scored and Chaise Ford pitched five innings and allowed two hits, walking three and striking out five for Groves. In the nightcap, Max Novick threw a complete-game, four-hit shutout, walking one and striking out 13 on the mound while going 1-for-3 with three RBI on offense, Evan Gilman was 1-for-2 with a walk and a run scored, Zavier Warren finished 1-for-2 with an RBI and a pair of runs scored, Cole went 1-for-2 with a run driven in and a run scored and Max Whalen finished 1-for-2 for Groves (21-2 overall, 9-1 OAA White). North Farmington was led by Blake Maddelena, who was 2-for-3 in both games offensively.

- Swartz Creek 7-6, Holly 2-3 - At Holly, in game one, Aaron Lockitski drove in a pair of runs and DJ Tennis struck out five in seven innings pitched for Holly. In the nightcap, Luke Copley tallied two hits and two RBI and Johnny Peck finished with three hits for Holly.

- Rochester Adams 5-5, Clarkston 4-2 - At Clarkston, in the opener, Connor McClennen went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run driven in, Chase Lusader added a pair of singles and a run scored and Matt Nixon earned the save on the mound in dealing a scoreless inning in relief for Adams, while Dylan Perry tripled, drove in a run and scored a run for Clarkston. In the nightcap, Michael Van Pelt supplied a pair of doubles, two RBI and a run scored, Gehrig Williams and Jack Chermside each went 1-for-3 with a run driven in and Nixon earned the save on the mound in pitching a scoreless inning in relief of Alex Mannhalt, who allowed two runs while striking out six in six innings pitched for Adams, while Ryan Barber supplied a pair of singles and two RBI for the Wolves.

- Wyoming Lee 16-6, Southfield Christian 6-3 (From Saturday) - At Wyoming, In game one, Jake Devine, Seth Denison, Blake Parpart and Matthew Guerra all hit safely in the contest. Ian Hanafee collected two hits, scored a run and drove in a run. Jared Ervin notched his first career RBI and Kameron Terry also scored two runs to round out the scoring. In the nightcap, Jacob Devine notched a double and a single while scoring two runs. Niko Varano also added an RBI single while Asher Laturno tallied his first career hit and Ron Johnson also collected his first career hit and scored a run in the game.

Softball

- Southfield Christian 13, Warren Fitzgerald 2 - Grace Gilson recorded the win in the circle as she pitched five innings, giving up just three hits, one walk and adding nine strikeouts. On offense, she went 2-for-2 with two doubles, two walks, four runs scored and two RBI. Tiara Francisco went 4-for-4 with a double, triple, scored four runs and had two RBI. Emma Paryaski went 2-for-3 with a pair of triples, a walk, two runs scored and two RBI. Maranda Sailor went 3-for-4 with four RBI. Olivia Paryaski, Jasmine Comer and Autumn Smith also scored runs for the Eagles. Southfield Christian faces Allen Park-Inter City Baptist tomorrow at 4:30 p.m.

- Royal Oak 10, Bloomfield Hills 4 – At Bloomfield Hills, Marissa Krynak recorded the win in the circle for the Ravens as she pitched a five-hitter with two strikeouts. Anna Ross went 2-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI. Hannah Lefave recorded a hit and Sierra Randle went 1-for-2 with two runs scored and was hit by a pitch twice. Marissa Krynak went 1-for-3. Mallory Dubay went a run scored and an RBI. Annie Rabon went 1-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBI. Lily O'Branovic went 1-for-3 with a run scored. Casey Meissner went 1-for-4 and Caitlin Dwyer went 1-for-4 with an RBI.

- Walled Lake Northern 15, Milford 5 (5 Innings) – At Walled Lake, McKenzie Knight was 2-for-3 with an RBI, Ashley Komosinski had a three-run home run and Cassie Frankowiak earned the win in allowing two earned runs in five innings pitched for Northern (19-3 overall, 8-3 KLAA North). Kayla Pennebaker, Audrey Petoskey, and Allison Smith each collected multiple hits for Milford. Pennebaker went 3-for-3 and Petoskey had two runs scored. Jenna Carlisle took the loss in the circle.

- Waterford Kettering 20, Pinckney 0 (3 Innings) - At Waterford, Olivia Katich hit a grand slam and Madison French had the win in the circle for Kettering (10-10).

- Sterling Heights Parkway Christian 20, Madison Heights Lamphere 4 - At Sterling Heights, Jensyn Shaw went 2-for-2. Rachael Schworn also had a hit and scored and Alexis Wark doubled and scored for the Lady Rams (10-4).

- Swartz Creek 10-3, Holly 0-6 - At Holly, after Swartz Creek won the opener, Holly was led in game two by Marissa Beck, who pitched, and Lilly Raymer, who drove in three runs on a double. Holly is 6-2 in the Flint Metro League.

Girls Soccer

- Birmingham Marian 9, Macomb Lutheran North 1 – At Birmingham, Jansen Eichenlaub had four goals and an assist. Ellie DeConinck had three goals and an assist. Claudia Schilling had a goal and two assists. Grace Kinna had a goal and an assist. Elaina Eckert added two assists. Anna Leonard and Katie Sullivan added an assist for Marian.

- Madison Heights Bishop Foley 5, Clarkston Everest Collegiate 0 - At Clarkston, Megan Gleason notched three goals for Bishop Foley.

- Stoney Creek 3, Birmingham Groves 0 – At Rochester Hills, Nicole Eichberger, Lauryn Beccari and Emily Solek added a goal. Lindsey Schupbach and Isabelle Paradoski had an assist for Stoney Creek.

- Rochester 2, Dearborn 0 – At Dearborn, Gabby Gilmore and Lexi Czerwien recorded a goal for Rochester. Sarah Novak and Kaitlyn DuCharme had an assist.

- Southfield Christian 6, Pontiac 1 - At Pontiac, Taylor Barry scored three goals to give herself her fifth hat trick of the season Libby Sanders assisted the next two to Grace Allan and Jessica Hanson. Grace Allan finished the Eagles' scoring with an unassisted finish for her second of the game.

- Bloomfield Hills 4, Clarkston 0 - At Bloomfield Hills, Christina Hickson recorded a hat trick and Sloane Marlow added a goal for the Blackhawks. Becca Hancock and Molly Efors split duties in net for Bloomfield Hills (8-1-1).

- Birmingham Seaholm 4, Berkley 0 – At Birmingham, Zoe Gaffney had a goal and an assist. Natalie Erne, Cate Brown and Katie O’Connor added a goal. Ashley David, Bella Rodrigues and Olivia Graham added an assist. Jillian Shefferly recorded the shutout with three saves for the Maples. Seaholm hosts Farmington Hills Harrison tomorrow at 7 p.m.

Girls Lacrosse

- Birmingham United 14, Brighton 13 – At Birmingham, Meryl Feys scored six goals. Kate Wujciak tallied two goals and Grace Murray added two goals and three assists. Caroline Wineman had three assists for United.

Boys Golf

- Birmingham Brother Rice finished second with a score of 322 in the Milliken Millwork Tournament out of 25 teams. Top scorers for the Warriors included: Jack Reinhart 78; George Mamatas 80; Brendan O'Rourke 81 and Alex Krause 83.

- Hartland’s top scorers were Mitchell Cotten and Alex Willis, both of whom shot a 79 , Nic Hoffman and Bryce Brief, each of whom totaled an 83, and Blake Rose, who fired an 84.

Birmingham Seaholm took first as a team with a 318 score, Clarkston came in third with a 323 and Hartland was fourth with a 324.

- Birmingham Groves finished in third place at the Dearborn Elite Invite. Top scorers for Groves included: Brett Dudeck 76; Jack Moosekian 80; Jack Walt 85 and Colin Christie 87. Groves finished with a team score of 328. Warren De La Salle finished in first place (307) and Detroit U-D Jesuit finished in second (320).

Girls Tennis

- Madison Heights Lamphere 6, Clawson 2 - Makenzie Bowler, Dinh Luong and Destiny Micheals recorded wins at one, two and four singles respectively. Suzanne Awali-Vy Truong; Meghan Brink-Jolyanna Hirmiz; Christine Chambour-Jenna Truong recorded wins at two, three and four doubles respectively for Lamphere (7-1-2, 4-0-1).

- Ellie DeConinck and Jansen Eichenlaub, Birmingham Marian girls soccer - The duo combined for seven goals and two assists as Marian powered through Macomb Lutheran North 9-1 on Monday.

- Megan Gleason, Madison Heights Bishop Foley girls soccer - Gleason netted a hat trick in helping lead Bishop Foley to a 5-0 win against Clarkston Everest Collegiate Monday.

- Meryl Feys, Birmingham United girls lacrosse - Feys scored six goals as United topped Brighton 14-13 on Monday.

- Max Novick, Birmingham Groves baseball - Novick tossed a complete-game shutout on the mound in which he allowed four hits and a walk and struck out 13 while also finishing 1-for-3 with three RBI at the plate to push Groves past North Farmington, 6-0, in the second game of the Falcons’ doubleheader sweep Monday. Groves won the opener, 10-0, in six innings.
