FARMINGTON - Artie Bentley notched a two-run triple to score Alex Magrum and Brian Turske as part of a four-run sixth inning that helped lift Farmington to a 7-5 win against Rochester in baseball action Tuesday.

Matt Lane provided an RBI sacrifice fly, Collin Finn recorded an RBI single and Carlos Allen struck out two to pick up a save on the mound for Farmington (4-0). Mark Matynka paced Rochester by going 2-for-3 with a run driven in.

- Orchard Lake St. Mary’s 5, Rochester Adams 3 - At Orchard Lake, Grant Henson picked up the win, striking out four over four innings pitched, while Blake Bean went 3-for-3 with two runs scored and Damon Leja added two hits for St. Mary’s (3-5).

- Birmingham Groves 8, Walled Lake Northern 5 - At Beverly Hills, John Kowalchuk finished 3-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI and one run scored, George Cutler hit a two-run home run in the first inning, Connor Bradbury was 1-for-1 with a double, a walk and two runs scored, Noah Zacharias added a two-run single and Xavier Warren had a two-run triple for Groves (2-0). Cooper Van Maele was 2-for-5 with a double, an RBI and a run scored and Kyle Gilbert was 2-for-4 for Northern (1-1).

- Auburn Hills Oakland Christian 9-2, Plymouth Christian 6-0 - Richard Steffan struck out 10 to pick up a win on the mound and Alex Smith finished 4-for-6 on the day with five stolen bases for Oakland Christian, which improves to 6-1.

- Royal Oak Shrine 1-8, Waterford Our Lady of the Lakes 0-2 - At Waterford, Sean Ruhle earned the win on the mound in game one, going 6 and ⅓ innings and amassing 10 strikeouts, Tom Peaslee posted the save in the opener and recorded a win in game two to total 4 and ⅔ innings pitched on the day with nine strikeouts and two runs allowed for Shrine. Peaslee added two hits, a pair of walks and two steals on the day, Jay Hester went 2-for-2 with three walks, two RBI and two stolen bases, Joe Brueckman was 3-for-5 and Jake Whitmore went 2-for-5 with two doubles all on the day for Shrine (4-3 overall, 2-0 CHSL). Pat Kaminski tallied a home run on the day for Our Lady of the Lakes (0-2, 0-2).

- Oxford 8, Almont 1 - At Oxford, Shae Walters pitched 4 and ⅓ innings and allowed one run on six hits while striking out five, Josh Allen struck out five in three innings pitched and Anthony D’Alessandro totaled two hits and three RBI offensively for Oxford.

- Hartland 10, Waterford Mott 0 (5 Innings) - (From Monday) At Hartland, Hartland earned the win.

- Holly 7, Byron 1 (From Monday) - At Holly, Luke Copley and DJ Tennis each doubled in a five-run fifth inning and Grant Tooley provided a bases-loaded single in the same inning, while Tennis, Copley and JD Lannon took the mound for Holly (1-0).

Softball

- Royal Oak 12, Warren Fitzgerald 0 (5 innings) - At Royal Oak, Marissa Krynak threw a five-inning shutout for the Ravens. Hannah Lefave went 2-for-4 with two runs scored. Annie Rabon had two RBI and Anna Ross and Sierra Randle each scored two runs.

- Waterford Kettering 12, Grand Blanc 1 (6 Innings) - At Grand Blanc, Madison French pitched five innings and tallied 12 strikeouts in the circle while adding a pair of hits on offense, Taylor Reno posted four hits and five RBI and Olivia Katich had two hits for Kettering (2-0).

- Rochester Hills Lutheran Northwest 7, Royal Oak Shrine 2 - At Rochester Hills, Hannah Stanko and Rebecca Oleski each drove in two runs and Madison Macy pitched a complete game, striking out 12 for Lutheran Northwest (1-0).

- Rochester 9-10, Troy Athens 8-7 - At Rochester, Rose Myers finished 7-for-8 with three triples and six RBI and Emily Morrow added a home run and three RBI on the day for Rochester.

- Birmingham Seaholm 12, Fraser 6 - At Fraser, Elle Lewandowski finished 4-for-4, Reagan Hurd went 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBI, Kate Bridges was 3-for-5 with three runs scored, Sarah Hegel supplied a triple, an additional base hit and a pair of RBI and Erika MacArthur earned the win in the circle for Seaholm.

- Wixom St. Catherine 1-8, Bishop Foley 0-9 - At Madison Heights, in the opener, Maddie Campaigna dealt a two-hit shutout in which she struck out 10 in the circle and also drove in Megan Cernak for the game’s only run for St. Catherine. Bishop Foley battled back to win the nightcap.

- Pontiac Notre Dame Prep 10-3, Holly 1-6 - At Pontiac, in the opener, Caley Gleason allowed one run on four hits while striking out six to pick up the win in the circle while also totaling a single, a double, two RBI and a pair of runs scored on offense, Lauren Koenig tallied three hits, two RBI and three runs scored, Maddy McClune added a double, a single and two runs scored and Kacey Edmonds supplied a single, a double and an RBI for Notre Dame Prep. In the five-inning nightcap, McClue and Koenig each posted two hits and Edmonds provided a home run for the Fighting Irish (6-1).

- Novi 16-16, Westland John Glenn 1-2 - (From Monday) At Novi, in the four-inning opener, Sophie Rallis recorded three hits, Megan Mendendorp, Maria Gustitus and Bella Rallis supplied two hits each and Gustitus struck out eight in four innings pitched in the circle for Novi. In the second game, Anna Mizerowski went 3-for-3, Gustitus added a home run among two hits, Ashley Yarberry and Bella Rallis each contributed two hits and Ally Cummings earned the win in the circle for Novi (3-1).

Girls Soccer

- Stoney Creek 2, Okemos 1 - At Okemos, Isabelle Paradoski scored the go-ahead goal with 13 minutes left in the second half and Nicole Eichberger notched a first-half tally for Stoney Creek, which moves to 4-0.

- Lake Orion 8, Hazel Park 0 - At Hazel Park, Ally Tefend recorded three goals and two assists, Jordyn Marchese, Olivia Gies and Marisa Szydlowski all added a goal and an assist, Mari Finstrom and Madalyn Zalac each had a goal, Lily Cady and Megan Danielson each chipped in with an assist and Taryn Redd and Chelsea Styma combined for the shutout in goal for Lake Orion (3-2). Hazel Park is 3-2.

- Bloomfield Hills 6. Dearborn 0 - At Bloomfield Hills, Sloane Marwil notched three goals and Sam Ferry, Sydney Houston and Alexis Rillema each added a goal. Becca Hancock and Molly Efros split duties in net for Bloomfield Hills (3-0).

- Troy Athens 5, Auburn Hills Avondale 0 - At Auburn Hills, Ashley Leonard and Skyla Gebauer each recorded a goal and an assist and Julia Lower earned the shutout in goal for Athens.

- Birmingham Seaholm 8, Ferndale 0 - At Ferndale, Cate Brown notched three goals, Bella Rodrigues, Olivia Graham, Natalie Erne, Katie O’Connor and Ashley David all supplied a goal each, Haley Hartwig totaled three assists and Jillian Shefferly made two saves to earn the shutout in net for Seaholm.

- Birmingham Marian 4, Troy 0 - At Bloomfield Hills, Jansen Eichenlaub, Olivia Zardus, Claudia Schilling and Anna Leonard all tallied a goal each, Ellie DeConinck chipped in with an assist and Isabel Hayes and Maggie DePorre split the shutout in net for Marian.

- Brighton 2, Northville 0 - (From Monday) At Brighton, Carlie Castiglione made 17 saves in net for Northville (0-3). Brighton, which improves to 2-0, scored a goal in each half.

- Lakeland 2, Westland John Glenn 0 - At Lakeland, Melissa Brei and freshman Megan Reiter scored the goals for the Eagles. Brooke Bruletti earned the shutout win in the net.

- Lake Fenton 4, Holly 2 - At Lake Fenton, Payton Price and Emily Hartig scored the goals while Lalli Valdovinos made eight saves for Holly (0-3).

- Alex Smith, Auburn Hills Oakland Christian baseball - Smith was 4-for-6 on the day with five stolen bases to help lead Oakland Christian to wins of 9-6 and 2-0 over Plymouth Christian in Tuesday’s doubleheader sweep.
