TROY – Auburn Hills Avondale secured the OAA Blue title outright as Travis Janes went 4-for-4 with a pair of doubles and three runs scored in a 6-3 victory over Troy Athens on Wednesday.

Brad Kavka went 2-for-3 with three RBI. Jake Pershern went 1-for-3 with a three run home run. Kavka pitched a complete game with four strikeouts for Avondale (20-5, 11-1 OAA Blue).

Louis Kassak went 2-for-4 with a run scored. Jake Vincent went 2-for-3 for Athens (12-7, 8-3 OAA Blue).

- Birmingham Detroit Country Day 10, Bloomfield Hills Cranbrook-Kingswood 0 - At Beverly Hills, Jeremiah Tyler was 2-for-2 with a pair of RBI, John Malcolm tripled among his two hits and Will Krushena chipped in a pair of hits and two RBI for Country Day (17-4).

- Berkley 4-1, Bloomfield Hills 9-7 - At Berkley, In the first game, C.J. Drogosch had a double a single and four RBI. Brandon Till had two hits and two RBI. Andrew Denk had two hits and two RBI. Austin Terlecky was the winning pitcher for Bloomfield Hills. In the second game, Cameron Greer pitched a complete game with five strikeouts and giving up an unearned run and four hits. C.J. Drogosch had two hits, two RBI. Till had two hits and two RBI. Aaron Schreur had a hit, two RBI and scored three runs for Bloomfield Hills (17-7).

- Hartland 14-14, Pinckney 0-1 - At Pinckney, Hartland swept a doubleheader against Pinckney.

- Walled Lake Western 6-10, Waterford Kettering 4-9 - At Waterford, in the first game, winning pitcher Nick Schram gave up four and had three earned runs. Western’s Nick Carrethers went 3-for-4 scoring two runs. In the second game, Chase Williamson was 3-for-4 with three RBI, three runs scored and two stolen bases. Cody White was 2-for-4 adding two RBI and Mark Morgan recorded a perfect 7th inning save. Walled Lake Western 6-17.

- Clarkston 8, Oxford 4 - Jack Muhleck had two hits and two runs scored. Joe Kuczmanski had a hit, two runs scored and an RBI. Zach Scott had two walks and a run scored. Nick Schaldenbrand started the game and Ryan Barber closed the game for the Wolves. Evan Brunning had a pair of RBI. Garret Tyrrell and Devon Davenport had two hits, a run scored and an RBI. Jacob Watt started the game and Shea Walters finished the game for Oxford.

- Walled Lake Northern 2-6, Waterford Mott 1-2 - At Walled Lake, Zack Northcott pitched a complete game giving up just one hit, three walks and one unearned run, recording eight strikeouts. Teammate Nick Powell was 1-for-2 with a run and a double, Dylan Stants was 2-for-3 with one run scored. Dean Lipinski went 1-for-1 with an RBI single. The squeeze bunt by Kyle Gilbert produced a game-changing RBI. In the second game, A.J. Sterling started pitching a solid 4 2/3 innings with three strikeouts giving up just three hits. Reliever Jack Powell pitched the last 2 1/3 innings for the win. Walled Lake’s Dean Lipinski was 2-for-3, Ryan Tunkl went 1-for-2 with two runs scored and an RBI, and a walk. Fellow Knight Kyle Gilbert went 1-for-3 with an RBI and Jake Frelich was 1-for-1 with the go-ahead RBI in the bottom of the sixth. Sealing the deal for Northern was Dean Hager who went 2-for-4 with a three run double in the bottom of the 6th. Walled Lake Northern is 12-12 overall.

- Novi 4-4, South Lyon 0-1 - At Novi, In game one, Jack Colliau pitched a no-hitter for Novi. In game two, Alec Bageris got the win and Noah Matthews added two hits for Novi (17-10).

- Birmingham Seaholm 2, Farmington Hills Harrison 0 - At Farmington, Max King pitched a complete game five- hitter and scored both runs. Dustin Mayleth-Bryant had one hit with an RBI for Seaholm (10-12).

- North Farmington 7, Birmingham Groves 6 - At Farmington, Max Whalen got the loss despite surrendering zero earned runs in his two innings of relief. Falcon Zavier Warren had a double, two RBI, one run scored and a walk. Connor Bradbury was 2-for-3 with two RBI. The game was tied 6-6 going into the 7th. North Farmington’s Josh Goldberg was 2-for-4 and Jimmy Doig was the winning pitcher with four earned hits. Birmingham Groves is now 17-6 overall and 6-3 in the OAA White.


- Clawson 15, Warren Lincoln 9 – At Clawson, Kayla Gregory went 3-for-5 with three runs scored and two RBI Marie Smith went had two RBI and was solid on defense at first base for Clawson (7-11).

- Birmingham Detroit Country Day 7, Birmingham Seaholm 4 - At Beverly Hills, Jessica Garmen had two hits and scored two runs for Country Day (15-5). Tiffany Harris had two RBI.

- Waterford Our Lady of the Lakes 11-11, Bloomfield Hills Cranbrook-Kingswood 1-1 - At Waterford, Hannah Davies got the win with 13 strikeouts and one hit. Offensively, Olivia Warrington went 2-for-2 with four RBI and Hannah Davies went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI for the Lakers. In the second game, Olivia Warrington got the win with 10 strikeouts. Offensively, Megan Ross went 2-for-3 with a double and Caroline Kramer went 2-for-3 with two RBI for the Lakers (16-3).

- Lakeland 1-5, Walled Lake Central 0-6 - At Walled Lake, In the first game, Kennedy Crawford went 3-for-3. Kaitlyn Wolschlager pitched a complete game with five hits. In the second game, Hannah Haas went 2-for-3 and lead the seventh inning with a single. Wolschlager went 2-for-4 including hit a walk-off two-run home run. Crawford 2-for-4. Wolschlager recorded the win in the circle. The seniors helped rally to earn the split on senior night.

- Lapeer 1, Holly 0 (From Tuesday) - At Holly, The Holly Bronchos fall to 8-9 with the close loss to Lapeer.

- Northville 1, South Lyon East 1 (From Tuesday) - Amber Hamers scored for East (3-5-7). Alissa Moore scored for Northville (7-6-3).

- Southfield Christian 3, Westland Lutheran 2 (From Tuesday) - At Westland Jessica Hanson scored two goals, both assisted by Shannon Jones. Then with just under 16 minutes left in the game, Taylor Barry tucked away the game winner off a pass from Jessica Hanson for Christian.

- Ortonville Brandon 2, Davison 0 - At Ortonville, Sarah Buda and Sarah Abbott scored goals and Logan Owen made five saves to record her fifth shutout of the year.

- Hartland 13, Huron Valley 8 – At Hartland, Cassie Pankowski scored a pair of goals. Emily Beazley had two goals and an assist. Erika Beauchamp had a pair of goals for Hartland.

- Orchard Lake St Mary’s 7, Birmingham Unified 6 (OT) - At Birmingham Groves, Charlie Schiefer had three goals, Ryan Flaherty scored two goals and Brodie Liebler added a goal for Birmingham Unified (6-8) .

- Hannah Davies, Waterford Our Lady of the Lakes softball – Davies gave up just one hit and recorded 13 strikeouts. Offensively, she recorded a 2-for-3 a double and two RBI in the first game as WOLL grabbed a doubleheader sweep of Bloomfield Hills Cranbrook-Kingswood with respective 11-1 victories on Wednesday.

- Grant Smith, Lakeland baseball - Smith threw a complete game-one hitter as Lakeland captured the KLAA crown with a 6-0 victory over Walled Lake Central on Wednesday.

- Kaitlyn Wolschlager, Walled Lake Central softball - Wolschlager pitched a pair of complete games and recorded a two-run home run in the second game of the doubleheader as Central captured a split losing the first game to Lakeland 1-0 and winning the second 6-5 on Wednesday.
