FARMINGTON - Artie Bentley delivered a game-winning single with the bases loaded and one out in the bottom of the seventh inning to lift Farmington past North Farmington, 2-1, in baseball action Monday.

Alex Manasa finished 3-for-4 with two runs scored and Stephen Satterfield took a no-hitter into the sixth inning, and ended up allowing one earned run on four hits over seven innings and also tallied three strikeouts on the mound for Farmington (10-4, 3-1 OAA White).

- Hartland 5, Walled Lake Western 2 - At Walled Lake, Cody White had two hits and two RBI and Nick Carreathers added a hit and a stolen base for Western (3-10).

- Sterling Heights Parkway Christian 5, Auburn Hills Oakland Christian 2 - At Auburn Hills, Richard Steffan pitched five innings and allowed two runs while totaling seven strikeouts for Oakland Christian (7-4).

- Troy Athens 9, Detroit Renaissance 3 - At Troy, Austin Sulzbach had two hits and two RBI, Jeremy Patrick had two hits and scored twice and Jake Vincent also added two hits for Athens (8-2).

- Orchard Lake St Mary’s 11, Davison 2 - At Orchard Lake, Joe Carlini went 3-for-4 with three RBI, Blake Bean was 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored and winning pitcher Dillon Kark was 2-for-4 with two runs scored for St. Mary’s (11-3). Davison’s Drew Fleming was 2-for-2 with a run scored.

- Royal Oak 10, Hazel Park 0 - At Hazel Park, Dylan Dzendzel allowed two hits and struck out 11, Jamie Bartelotti drove in a pair of runs and Sean Marshall recorded two hits, two RBI and two runs scored for Royal Oak (7-2, 3-0 OAA Gold).

- Lakeland 5, Grand Blanc 1 - At Lakeland, Jake Spry picked up the win, pitching five innings and Connor Snell went 2-for-3 for Lakeland 10-3 (7-1).

- Birmingham Groves 7, Farmington Hills Harrison 0 - At Birmingham, Zavier Warren belted a three-run home run and Joe Roberts added a two-run home run in the first inning for Groves. Both Michael Pastoria and John Kowalchuk were 2-for-3 with a double, Max Novick dealt a shutout in giving up two hits, three walks and striking out five on the mound for Groves (10-3, 2-2).

- Ortonville Brandon 10, Swartz Creek 9 (9 Innings) - At Ortonville, Zach Clements finished 2-for-5 with a pair of RBI, including providing the walk-off single in the bottom of the ninth, Curtis Stimac went 3-for-3 with a home run and five RBI, Zach Bunting totaled three hits and Dusty Dickens had two hits for Brandon. The second game of the doubleheader was suspended in the fourth inning with Swartz Creek leading Brandon, 3-1.

- Milford 15, Waterford Mott 5 - At Waterford, David Housel belted a three-run home run in finishing 2-for-3 on the day, Seth Seelye earned the win on the mound, and Sammy Lee, who pitched in relief, finished 3-for-4 on offense for Milford.

- Clarkston 7-0, Stoney Creek 0-3 - At Rochester Hills, in the opener, Anthony Reiner pitched a complete-game shutout in which he struck out two and Camden Hadley finished with two hits for Clarkston. In the nightcap, Reid Herbstreith pitched a complete-game shutout in which he tallied three strikeouts, Hunter DeSantis totaled two hits and Tanner Dean, Max Jani and Doug Propson all finished with an RBI each for Stoney Creek.

- Walled Lake Central 4, Pinckney 1 - At Commerce, Christian Hakim went 2-for-3 on the day, Jimi Kandah was 2-for-3 with a double, Pierson Hoy finished with a double, David Sprinkle added a double and an RBI and Jack Gulvas dealt a complete game in tallying 10 strikeouts and not allowing any earned runs for Central (9-4).

- Troy 11, Berkley 1 (5 Innings) - At Troy, in the five-inning opener, Jake Soules was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI, Scott Mittelbrun went 1-for-2 with a walk, a double and three runs scored and Adam Booth pitched all five innings, allowing one run on one hit while tallying four strikeouts on the mound for Troy (2-11). The second game of the doubleheader was suspended after the sixth inning with Berkley leading 8-5, and will be completed on Wednesday.

- Rochester 8-1, Lake Orion 1-8 - At Rochester, Ryan Gladstone doubled and drove in four runs and Kyle Matynka homered and drove in four runs in game one while Albert Nagy went the distance for the win for Rochester. In the nightcap, Mike Salter pitched a complete game for Lake Orion.

- Oxford 1-1, Rochester Adams 0-8 - At Oxford, in the opener, Mario Scribner dealt a complete-game, two-hit shutout and Devon Davenport went 2-for-3 with a double for Oxford, which scored the game’s only run in the fifth inning. Bo Lineberger dealt six innings and totaled five strikeouts on the mound for Adams. In the nightcap, Spencer Fleming pitched a complete game allowing just one run and striking out six and Joey Prechtel recorded two hits and a pair of RBI for Adams, while Anthony D’Alessandro, Justin Allen, Scribner, Davenport, Gage Warzecha and Braun Mayette all finished with one hit apiece for Oxford.


- Waterford Kettering 4, Howell 3 - At Waterford, Madison French tallied the win in racking up six strikeouts, Miranda Stanley contributed two hits and two RBI and Lexie Weston added two hits, including the game-winner in the bottom of the seventh for Kettering (10-3).

- Swartz Creek 7-4, Ortonville Brandon 1-2 - At Ortonville, Chloe Bennett picked up five hits over the two games for Brandon.

- Oxford 9-13, Birmingham Groves 0-0 - At Oxford, in the opener, Kaitlyn Bean was the winning pitcher, as she collected 18 strikeouts while giving up one hit while adding two hits and an RBI on offense, Lauren Donaldson finished 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI, McKenzie Miller added a hit and a pair of RBI and Hannah Vachon and Jordyn Hughes each added a hit and two RBI for Oxford. In the nightcap, Hannah Vachon tallied 11 strikeouts while allowing no runs on one hit in the circle, Chloe Allen added a hit and an RBI, Jordyn Hughes recorded a hit and a pair of RBI, Lauren Donaldson finished with a double and an RBI, McKenzie Miller went 3-for-4 with an RBI and Kaitlyn Bean was 3-for-3 for Oxford.

- Novi 10, Livonia Franklin 2 - At Livonia, Ashley Yarberry was 5-for-5 with 2 RBI, Hope Kapelanski chipped in three hits and two RBI as well. Novi improves to 11-6 overall, 4-4 KLAA

- Hartland 8, Walled Lake Western 5 - At Walled Lake, Anna Kemp pitched a complete game, allowing one earned run on six hits while walking three and striking out seven, Delaney Greene had two extra-base hits, including an RBI double, and Carisa Collins and Elizabeth Everett both contributed an RBI single for Hartland. Walled Lake Western scored three runs in the seventh inning.

- Milford 7, Waterford Mott 1 - At Waterford, Gianna Seets had an RBI single, Koryn Pennebaker contributed a two-run double, Allison Smith was on base three times and also had an RBI and a run scored Natalie Herrington picked up the win in the circle by pitching seven innings and allowing no earned runs on seven hits and striking out three for Milford.

- Novi 8, Milford 2 (From Sunday) - At Milford, Julia Stevenson had two hits and Hailey Curtis pitched for Milford.

- Wixom St. Catherine of Siena 6, Novi Franklin Road Christian 5 - (From Saturday) Rachel Johnston went 2-for-4 from the plate and Genna Skalski and Colleen Fader each tallied an RBI. Julie Rozek scattered eight hits and had six strikeouts in securing the win in the circle for St. Catherine’s.

Macomb Classic Softball From Saturday

- In the first game of the Macomb Classic, Milford defeated Clinton Township Chippewa Valley 7-0. Koryn Pennebaker recorded six RBI in the contest with a pair of home runs in the fourth and fifth inning. Natalie Herrington threw five scoreless innings with 11 strikeouts. In the second game of the tournament, Milford defeated New Baltimore Anchor Bay 10-7. Herrington hit a two-run home run and Julia Stevenson had an RBI single. Pennebaker and Herrington, teamed up for five RBI in the contest. In the third game of the tournament, Milford defeated Grosse Pointe North 4-1. Gianna Seets went 3-for-3 with a double. Herrington pitched five and two thirds innings of shutout ball as she gave up just three hits and recorded four strikeouts. Pennebaker smacked a three-run triple in this contest. In the final game of the tournament, Utica Eisenhower defeated Milford 8-4. Herrington went 1-for-2 with a home run. Hailey Curtis and Pennebaker each crushed a home run.


Girls Soccer

- Ortonville Brandon 1, Clio 0 - At Clio, Elayna St. Amour scored the lone goal with less than three minutes to play on an assist from Sarah Buda and Logan Owen earned the shutout in net for Brandon (3-2-2, 1-0 FML).

- Bloomfield Hills 4, Auburn Hills Oakland Christian 0 - At Bloomfield Hills, Samantha Ferry, Sydney Huston, Ally Jaksen, and Kyra Schofield each scored a goal for the home team. Goalkeeper Molly Efros earned the shutout in net for Bloomfield Hills (5-1-1).

- (From Saturday) At Saginaw, Northville went 2-1 on the day at an invitational at Saginaw. Northville fell against Lapeer, 4-1, before topping Saginaw Heritage, 2-0, and Troy Athens, 2-1. In the loss against Lapeer, Sydney Schembri scored off an assist from Alissa Moore for Northville. In the win against Heritage, Moore and Roan Haines each scored and Carlie Castiglione made five saves in earning the shutout in goal for the Mustangs. In the win against Athens, Megan Williams netted both goals, Schembri had an assist and Castiglione made eight saves in net for Northville (3-4-2).

- At Bloomfield Hills, Hartland finished seventh with a score of 313 at the 28-team Next-Tee Championship hosted by Birmingham Seaholm at Oakland Hills Country Club. Teams competed at the Oakland Hills CC North Course, with a par 70. Leading the way for Hartland were Nic Hoffman and Duncan Henry, each of whom carded a 76, Mitch Brown, who shot a 78, and Collin Pajot, who tallied an 83.

- Birmingham Unified 13, Bloomfield Hills 9 - At Birmingham, the home team’s Anna Stachler scored three goals. Two goals each were tallied by Abbie Waechter, Danielle Auger and Bridget Sabbagah while Grace Fisher, Jenna Bazil, Grace Murray and Annie Schechter all tallied one goal apiece for Birmingham Unified (6-1).

- Ashley Yarberry, Novi softball - Yarberry finished 5-for-5 with a pair of RBI in helping lead Novi to a 10-2 win against Livonia Franklin Monday.

- Zach Clements, Ortonville Brandon baseball - Clements was 2-for-5 with two RBI and drove in the game-winning run with his ninth-inning single to lift Brandon past Swartz Creek, 10-9, in nine innings Monday.
