AUBURN HILLS - Brad Kavka recorded the win on the mound and provided some pop at the plate as Auburn Hills Avondale grabbed a doubleheader sweep of Troy 13-6 and 4-3 respectively on Thursday.

Kafva recorded the win in the nightcap pitching five innings, with two earned runs and four strikeouts. Kavka went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI at the plate in game one.

In the first game, Jake Pershern went 2-for-4 with a home run and four RBI. Robbie Ginther pitched three innings with four strikeouts and two earned runs. Travis Janes had the save with four innings pitched and three strikeouts for Avondale. Cory Wilson went 2-for-3 with two runs scored for Troy.

In the second game, Travis Janes went 1-for-2 with an RBI. Brad Matt Moy recorded the save with two innings pitched and three strikeouts. Parker Travis went 1-for-2 with a double and two RBI for Avondale (6-2, 3-0). Colby Green went 2-for-4 with a home run (0-4, 0-3).

This contest was a continued doubleheader from Wednesday.

- Oxford 9, Auburn Hills Oakland Christian 0 – At Oxford, Justin Allen went 1-for-1 with a double, a walk and a sacrifice bunt. Gage Warzecha went 1-for-2 with three RBI, a run scored and a walk. Devon Davenport went 1-for-2 with a pair of RBI, a double and a run scored. Jack Kitchner recorded the win on the mound with four hits and nine strikeouts for Oxford.

- Farmington 2, Rochester 1 - At Rochester, Collin Finn pitched five innings, allowing one earned run on four hits, striking out eight and walking one, Alex Manasa earned a two-inning save on the mound and also had an RBI double offensively and Alex Magrum scored two runs for Farmington (5-1). Ben Compton recorded an RBI double for Rochester (5-2).

- Southfield 14, Oak Park 0 (4 innings) - At Southfield, George Osborne and Jaycen Lipsey both went 3-for-4 and drove in two runs apiece as Southfield upped its record to 3-1. Matt Osborne pitched 3 ⅔ innings and struck out four. Oak Park dropped to 0-2.

- Birmingham Groves 4, Southfield-Lathrup 3 - At Birmingham, Andrew Martin pitched 6 ⅔ innings, allowing one earned run on five hits while striking out eight and walking one, Chaise Ford earned the save on the mound, Evan Gilman was 1-for-2 with an RBI and Xavier Warren added a triple for Groves (2-1). For Southfield-Lathrup, Amani Godfrey struck out eight on the mound while giving up no earned runs in a six-inning complete-game effort.

- Bloomfield Hills Cranbrook-Kingswood 2, Madison Heights Lamphere 1 (8 Innings) - At Bloomfield Hills, Jack Hollander pitched five innings allowing three hits and striking out two and Dov Seifman earned the win in relief, going three innings and giving up one hit and amassing three strikeouts for Cranbrook-Kingswood (2-4). Lamphere’s Alex Peace dealt 7 ⅔ innings and only gave up one hit while piling up seven strikeouts.

- Troy Athens 9, Bloomfield Hills 3 -At Bloomfield Hills, Brendan Genereau was 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored, Dominic Haight tallied two hits, including a triple, and also added an RBI and a run scored and Louis Kassak reached base four times, going 1-for-2 with an RBI and a run scored for Athens (2-1, 1-0). The second game of the doubleheader was called in the bottom of the fifth inning with Athens up 2-1 and will continued at a later date.

- Sterling Heights Parkway Christian 1-1, Novi Franklin Road Christian 0-6 - At Sterling Heights, In the first game, Gavin Harris went 1-for-1 with two walks and Matthew Lorey was 1-for-3 offensively and also pitched seven innings, allowing two hits and one unearned run while piling up eight strikeouts and walking one for Franklin Road Christian. In the nightcap, Paul Alex was 2-for-4 with an RBI, Nick Suchezky finished 2-for-4 with a run scored and Harris dealt a complete game, allowing one earned run and totaling five strikeouts for Franklin Road Christian (1-1, 1-1 MIAC). Parkway Christian (2-2, 1-1).

- Milford 15, Grand Blanc 5 (From Wednesday) - Brendan Perrett recorded three RBI on a pair of hits. Kevin Daucher recorded the win on the mound with giving up seven hits, four earned runs, three walks and three strikeouts. Milford also recorded offense from Devin Ogg with an RBI single, an RBI single by Connor Jensen, and a two-run single by Nick Ciesielski.


- Birmingham Detroit Country Day 14, Farmington Hills Harrison 0 (5 innings) - At Beverly Hills, Jacqueline Spizizen pitched a complete game no-hitter with 10 strikeouts. Jessica Garmen went 2-for-3 with a triple and three RBI. Erinn English went 3-for-4 with three RBI for Country Day (3-0).

Birmingham Seaholm 18-15, Bloomfield Hills 3-6 — At Bloomfield Hills, Vivian Righter had four of Seaholm’s 18 hits in Game 1, and drove in four runs in the six-inning game, while Megan Timmins had three hits. Erika MacArthur drove in three runs in the nightcap, while Kate Bridges was 2-for-2 with four runs scored. MacArthur got the wins in both games, coming to relieve in the five-inning nightcap. Caitlin Neeley had four hits on the day for Bloomfield Hills.

- Royal Oak 19, Royal Oak Shrine 5 - At Royal Oak, Marissa Krynak pitched a two-hitter with seven strikeouts as Royal Oak upped its record to 2-1. Hannah LeFave had three hits and scored three runs, Hannah Wickersham contributed two hits and three RBI and Ella Thibault supplied two hits and scored three runs for Royal Oak.

- Southfield Christian 14, Ann Arbor Greenhills 0 - At Southfield, Emma Paryaski and Grace Gilson combined on a no-hitter with 13 strikeouts and just one walk in five innings. Gilson threw only strikes in her two innings of work and also had two hits and drove in a run. Tayler Caldwell and Olivia Paryaski each had two hits and two RBI, while Rachel Johnson chipped in a hit and an RBI.

- South Lyon East 2-8, Novi 1-3 - (From Wednesday) At South Lyon, in the opener, Emma Loveland registered a game-winning double in the bottom of the seventh inning that plated Morgan Nieto and Morgan Bowen, Sydney Kist allowed two hits and totaled four strikeouts in the circle and Bowen recorded two hits for East. In the nightcap, Bailee Taylor pitched and also delivered three hits offensively and Bowen and Loveland each notched a pair of hits for East.

- Farmington Hills Mercy 13-18, Farmington 3-2 (From Wednesday) – In the first game, Sophia Van Acker went 4-for-5 with four runs scored. Abby Krzywiecki went 3-for-5 with a run scored and three RBI. Andrea Elmore went 3-for-5 with an RBI. Elmore pitched a complete game with three earned runs and 12 strikeouts to record the win for Mercy. Kennedy Rogers went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run and three RBI for Farmington. In the second four inning game, Krzywiecki went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run and three RBI. Cari Padula went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and four RBI. Anna Dixon went 1-for-3 with a walk, and three runs scored. Krzywiecki recorded the win in the circle with two earned runs and three strikeouts. Sydney Puda recorded an inning of shutout relief for Mercy. Robyn Banks and Haylee Butka went 2-for-2 with an RBI for Farmington.

- North Farmington 2, Troy 0 – At Farmington, Olivia Elby scored a goal in each half. Carina Wright and Karlie Cummins had an assist for North Farmington (3-1-0, 1-0-0 OAA Red).

- Stoney Creek 4, Royal Oak 0 – At Royal Oak, Taylor Paradoski scored twice, Emily Solek and Lindsey Schupbach each added a goal. Shelby Howe and Truly Hoenig had an assist. Gina Cerny made three saves recorded the shutout in net for Stoney Creek (2-0-2)

- Birmingham Marian 3, Warren Regina 0 – At Birmingham, Ellie DeConinck had a goal and two assists Jansen Eichenlaub scored two goals. Claudia Schilling added an assist and Isabel Hayes and Kaitlin Patouhas combined for the shutout in net for Marian.

- Clarkston Everest Collegiate/ASH 4, Marine City Cardinal Mooney 0 – At Bloomfield Hills, Sarah Stafford, Jac Antakli, Molly Taylor scored a goal for CEC/ASH.

- North Farmington 2, Troy 0 - At Farmington Hills, Olivia Elby scored both goals as North Farmington (3-1) won its OAA Red opener. Carina Wright and Karlie Cummins recorded assists.

- Waterford Our Lady of the Lakes 2, Allen Park Cabrini 1 - At Allen Park, Alex Troy and Allison Maiorana each tallied a goal for Our Lady of the Lakes.

- Lake Orion 1, Clarkston 1 - At Clarkston, Grace Cady scored a goal for Lake Orion (1-1-1, 1-1-1 OAA White). Clarkston (0-2-2, 0-1-2).

- Milford 1, Livonia Franklin 1 (From Wednesday) - Jenna Smith scored a goal and Megan Swirczek had an assist for Milford.

- Novi 3, Walled Lake Western 0 - At Walled Lake, Chloe Allen netted two goals, Emma Takada added a goal and Jessica Helmaghi and Cara Ninkovich each added an assist for Novi.

- Holly 2, Lake Fenton 1 (From Wednesday) - Payton Price scored a pair of goals. Kristin Hansel and Sami Hild had an assist. Amanda Morgan made eight saves and Hayley Hild, Madison Brack and Alex Karakuc contributed strong defense for Holly (2-2-0).

Boys Lacrosse

- Plymouth 5, Lakeland 4 (From Wednesday) - Brendan Thelen scored three goals and Logan Shureb added a goal. Hunter Smith had an assist and Collin Crafts recorded 13 saves for Lakeland.

Girls Lacrosse

- Bloomfield Hills 14, Troy 13 (From Wednesday) - Olivia D’Angelo scored four goals and had three assists. Grace Dillon scored four goals. Claire Kelly scored three goals. Amanda Bearden scored a pair of goals. Sydney Woods also added a goal. Defensively, Susie Pilibosian, Erin Connolly and Tess Garcia led the way while Sarah Holmes recorded the win in net for Bloomfield Hills (3-0). Morgan MacDonald scored eight goals and dominated the draw for Troy.

Girls Tennis

- Brighton 5, Hartland 4 - At Brighton, Winning for Hartland at doubles in straight sets were Emily Fay-Alyssa Whittaker 7-5, 6-3. Rachel Young-Greta Stroven 6-3, 6-2. Grace Lemley-Sam Seelinger 6-2, 6-4. Rachel Anderson and Anna Bredin 6-4, 6-2.

- Bloomfield Hills Academy of the Sacred Heart 7, Monroe St. Mary’s Catholic Central 1 - (From Tuesday) Sacred Heart picked up the win.

Boys Track and Field

- West Bloomfield 104, North Farmington 24 (From Wednesday) - At West Bloomfield, the Lakers collected the dual meet victory. For the Raiders, Noah Zalapi captured the 100 Dash in 11.2 and Robert Allen won the high jump at 5-8. Erwann Basset (long jump), Quentin Ross (400 Dash) and Donnie James (200 Dash) had second-place finishes for North Farmington.
