Tuesday’s Prep Roundup: Country Day coasts past Southfield in baseball action

ROCHESTER — In baseball action, Steve Mann went 1-for-2 with three RBI asw Country Day grabs a 11-1 victory over Southfield on Tuesday evening. Chris Drogosch notched two RBI pacing the Yellow Jackets offense. Geremiah Tyler allowed one run in five innings to lead Country Day. Corey Oliver went 2-for-3 for Southfield.

— Pontiac Notre Dame Prep 8-2, Allen Park Cabrini 2-0 — (From Sunday) At Pontiac, In the first game, Will Mullen pitched six innings giving up just three hits and striking out 12 batters. In the second game, Anthony Gunn pitched a no-hitter and struck out 14 batters. Luke Shilling hit a two-run home run for Prep (2-0).

— Farmington 1-9, Centerville 2-5 (OH) — (From Sunday) At Ohio, In the first game, Dan Harris pitched five innings and gave up just five hits. Mike Carty went 2-for-2 and Alex Manasa went 2-for-4 with two runs scored. In the second game, Raja Mahtni went five and two-thirds innings giving up just three runs, he also went 2-for-4 with two RBI. Daniel Carty went 3-for-5 with two runs scored and Alex Manasa went 2-for-5 with three RBI for Farmington (3-1).

— Madison Heights Bishop Foley 6, Pontiac Notre Damp Prep 0 — (From Monday) Garrett Schilling gave up just four hits and struck out nine batters. Brad Baldwin had two hits and two RBI while Nate Grys and Austin Lukaschewski had two hits for Foley (1-0).

— Bloomfield Hills Cranbrook Kingwood 14, Detroit Western International 2 — At Bloomfield Hills, Reilly Knoer went 3-for-4 with a two-run home run and five RBI and Ana Duperon five strikeouts for Cranbrook. (1-0).

— Livonia Ladywood 5-7, Birmingham Marian 4-5 — At Livonia, Erika Selakowski and CeCe Werner combined for four hits and four RBI in the Blazer victory. Rozlyn Price notched her first victory of the season, striking out seven. In the second game, Erika Selakowski and Lauren Holdsworth combined for five hits and two RBI. Pitcher Rozlyn Price racked up her second victory of the afternoon, striking out fourteen, to lead Ladywood (2-0, 2-0 CHSL Central).

— Pontiac Notre Dame Prep 4-6, Allen Park Cabrini 6-1 — (From Sunday) — At Allen Park, In the first game, Emma Cochran went 1-for-3 with two runs scored and Katie Swartz went 1-for-2 with two runs scored and an RBI for Prep. In the second game, Calie Gleason gave up just three hits with one walk and five strikeouts for Prep. Hannah Antosz went 1-for-2 with two runs scored and hit a three-run home run. Lauren DiFiore hit a two-run single for Prep (4-2, 2-2 CHSL AA).

— Clarkston Everest/WOLL 3, Allen Park Cabrini 0 — (From Saturday) Olivia Bennett, Anna Robb and Madeline Cross scored for Everest/WOLL and Lindsay Straw had two assists. Megan Luttinen made nine saves.

— Monroe St. Mary’s Catholic Central 17, Pontiac Notre Dame Prep 15, Gibraltar Carlson 10, Dearborn Divine Child 6 — (From Saturday) — Hannah Preuss and Savanah Litton won the second and third singles for Prep. Annie and Julie Boniface, Ila Batah and Nicole Gebara, Sara Hanna and Mira Housey claimed first, third and fourth doubles for Prep.

— Birmingham Brother Rice 20, Bloomfield Hills Cranbrook Kingswood 8 — At Birmingham, Reid Fisher scored seven goals and Jason Alessi added four goals and an assist for Brother Rice. Chris Lievois gave up just five goals in net in three periods of play.

— Pontiac Notre Dame Prep 12, Dearborn Divine Child 4 — At Dearborn, Matthew Pusheck had three goals and an assist and Hunter Hoenshield had three goals for Prep. Jake Jeske had four assists and Peter Eichhorn made two saves (4-3). Daniel McGrail had three goals for Divine Child (1-1).

— Madison Heights Bishop Foley 15, Royal Oak Shrine 6 — At Madison Heights, Stephen Redding had five goals and one assist for Bishop Foley. Reggie Golfin had four goals and two assists while Andrew Sturr had two goals and three assists for Bishop Foley (3-3).

— Grosse Pointe Woods University Liggett 8, Pontiac Notre Dame Prep 3 — (From Saturday) Jake Jeske scored twice for Prep (3-3). Peter Eichhorn made 12 saves. Andrew Hyde scored twice and Andrew Wright had two assists for Liggett.
