GIRLS BASKETBALL: Harrison picks up win over Stoney Creek in OAA Red matchup

ROCHESTER HILLS — In girls basketball action, Farmington Hills Harrison outlasted Stoney Creek 43-38 in Friday night.

“This was a huge road win for us as we played back-to-back games in the OAA Red.” Harrison head coach Tim Micklash said. “We were going in to this league game with two losses and it was very important that we didn’t fall behind Clarkston in the standings.”

Amber Stephens was the leading scorer for Harrison with 22 points.

“We been through some tough games in the league already but now we have the chance to play Stoney Creek, Clarkston and Southfield-Lathrup at home.” Micklash said. “We are going to continue to aim to improve, and at least it will be nice to have these games at home.”

Harrison (11-3, 7-2 OAA Red). Emma Sobczynski scored nine points and Lauren Voss scored eight points for Stoney Creek (10-3, 5-3 OAA Red).
