Tuesday's Prep Roundup: Allison Samulon leads WOLL volleyball past Mooney in four games

MARINE CITY — Allison Samulon led the Waterford Our Lady of the Lakes volleyball squad past Marine City Cardinal Mooney in four games as she recorded nine kills, five blocks, five digs and two aces for the Lakers in a Catholic High School League match Tuesday night.

Courtney Wightman had 12 digs, seven kills, four blocks and three aces while Devon Valenc had nine blocks, seven kills and two digs for Lakes (26-5-4).

— Farmington Harrison 25-21-26-25, Rochester 19-25-24-13 — Katie Wiacek 8 kills 12 digs for Rochester (21-7-2, 2-1 OAA White). Mikayla Baxter had 23 digs while Monica Williamson had seven kills and eight blocks for Rochester.

— Bloomfield Hills 25-25-25, Stoney Creek 17-22-22 — at Rochester Hills, Morgan Darin had 10 digs, seven kills and two aces for Stoney Creek (17-8-4, 0-2 OAA Red). Delaney Cuckovich had 15 digs for the Cougars. Bloomfield Hills improves to 1-1 in the OAA Red.

— Pontiac Notre Dame Prep 25-25-25, Riverview Gabriel Richard 6-9-20 — at Pontiac, Katherine Carlson had 14 kills and seven service points for the Irish (35-2). Dani McCormick had eight kills, five aces and two blocks for Prep. Ashley Knutson had 11 assists for the Irish.

— Madison Heights Lamphere 25-25-25, South Lake 6-9-11: Erin Denmark had eight kills and Katie Maddox added six kills for the winning Rams. Taylor Urritia finished with 13 service points with eight aces, while Sarah Burnett had 14 service points with four aces for Lamphere (4-1, 13-11).

— Clarkston Everest Collegiate 25-25-25, Cristo Rey 5-5-9 — At Clarkston, Claudia Mastromatteo led Everest Collegiate with three kills, four digs and nine aces. Kathleen Balon added 10 assists, while Megan Luttinen added five kills for the Mountaineers.

— Royal Oak 25-25-23-25 Ferndale 17-21-25-20 — At Ferndale, Nina Salowich led Royal Oak (13-9-2) with 13 kills, 22 digs, and two aces. Teammate Allison Karpinski added 10 kills, 20 digs, and four aces for the Ravens.

— Bloomfield Hills Sacred Heart 26-25-26-25, Wixom St. Catherine’s 24-15-28-22 — At Bloomfield Hills, Caroline Cook led Sacred Heart (21-30) with 14 kills at the net. Hannah Evans collected 16 assists, and Kahdikah Rikard added 14 digs for the Gazelles.

— Auburn Hills Avondale 21-25-25-25, Oak Park 25-10-13-11 — At Aurburn Hills, Haley Bittinger led Avondale with nine aces and seven kills. Jessica Stefanski added eight kills, while Gabi Brancheau chipped in with nine kills for the Yellow Jackets.

— Mount Clemens 25-25-25, Madison Heights Madison 18-18-16 — At Mount Clemens, Kavonna Foster led Madison (1-7) with six hits, three service points (including an ace), and five digs. Amanda Mac added seven hits and 10 digs. Mariam Elias collected eight hits, three serves (including an ace), and two digs. Andreen Yousif had four hits, and four digs, while Kaylin Stepho recorded five hits, one ace, and four digs.

— Farmington 25-26-23-25, West Bloomfield 13-24-25-22 — At West Bloomfield, Jordan White had 12 kills and Lindsey DuFresne added 24 assists for West Bloomfield.



Boys soccer

— Bloomfield Hills Cranbrook Kingswood 4, Hamtramck 1 — at Hamtramck, John Whiting scored two goals and added an assist for Cranbrook (12-1-2). Jack Christides added a goal and an assist for the Cranes.

— Southfield Christian 3, Allen Park Inter-City Baptist 2 — at Southfield, Kevin Nimmo and Ryan Hanson each scored a goal and had an assist in the first half for Southfield Christian (5-11, 4-8 MIAC). Parker Brose also scored a goal for the Eagles.

— Rochester Hills Lutheran Northwest 3, Auburn Hills Oakland Christian 1 — at Rochester Hills, Ontario McDonald scored a hat-trick in the second half for Lutheran Northwest (8-8-1), bringing total to 26 goals on the year. Nick Gruenwald recorded two assists for the Crusaders. Solomon Spangler made seven saves in the win.

— Birmingham Groves 3, Lake Orion 1 — at Birmingham, Andy Sagante scored a goal in each half for Groves. The win improves Groves to 10-4-2 overall and 9-1-1 in the OAA White and clinches the division with one game to play.

— West Bloomfield 2, Avondale 1 — Jarrell Ku and Connor Genrich each scored a second half goal for West Bloomfield on Monday. Vikram Mathias recorded an assist for the Lakers.

- Bloomfield Hills 1, Clarkston 1 — at Bloomfield Hills, Alex Joneson scored a goal that was assisted by Ethan Garcia for Bloomfield Hills. Logan McDonald made five saves for the Blackhawks.

— Birmingham Brother Rice 2, Western International High School 1 — At Birmingham, Jack Howard scored the first goal of the contest, which was asisted by Marcello Rea. Hunter Mejaly notched the second goal for the Warriors, which was assisted by Cameron Fish.
