Monday's Prep Roundup: Clawson soccer knocks off Warren Woods-Tower

CLAWSON — Nathan Cote’s goal served as the game-winner for Clawson as it edged Warren Woods-Tower, 3-0, in MAC Gold boys soccer action Monday.

Wyatt Remillard and Andrew Halsey scored the other goals for Clawson (12-4-0, 10-0) which won its third straight league title.



Boys soccer

— Novi Franklin Road Christian 4, Milford West Highland Christian Academy 0 — At Milford, Micah Charlick tallied a goal and three assists, Tanner Spires had two goals and Daniel Weaver made seven saves for the shutout for Franklin Road Christian (13-3-0).

— Royal Oak Shrine 3, Dearborn Divine Child 1 — Sean McFarland had a goal and an assist and Ethan Groth added a goal for Shrine, which advances to the CHSL finals Wednesday.

— Royal Oak 4, Southfield-Lathrup 1 — Joey Dokho and Zak Balazovic each scored two goals and Joey Smith earned the win in net for Royal Oak (7-4).

— Walled Lake Central 6, Pinckney 3 — At Walled Lake, Mark Gjura and Strahinja Ljubevic each recorded hat tricks for Central (8-4-3).



Volleyball

— From Saturday, Pontiac Notre Dame Prep took first place at the Bloomfield Hills tournament, defeating Auburn Hills Oakland Christian, Frankenmuth and Battle Creek Lakeview in elimination play to win. Dani McCormick registered 14 kills, Katherine Carlson added 11 more and Ellen Guerra had six kills and four blocks in the championship match, which the Fighting Irish (34-2), which won 25-15 and 25-16.



Girls golf

— At Edgewood CC, Pontiac Notre Dame Prep finished sixth out of eight teams at the CHSL tournament, registering a score of 421. Maddie McClune’s 99 and Samantha Raggio’s 106 led the Fighting Irish.
