    Jackson, a 5-8 sophomore point guard, had 17 points, five assists and five steals against Romeo. He scored 18 points and had six assists against Cousino as Dakota climbed to No. 1 in Tier 1 in Macomb County.

  • Charles Penn

    Basketball - Boys
    Dakota

    Penn, a 6-7 forward, had 21 points and 10 rebounds in a victory over Romeo and 18 points and 11 rebounds in a win over Cousino as the Cougars remained undefeated in the MAC Red Division.

  • Josh Hodges

    Swimming - Boys
    De La Salle

    Hodges, a sophomore, has qualified for the state Division 2 meet in the 200-yard freestyle, 200 individual medley and the 500 freestyle.

  • Jon Price

    Chippewa Valley

    Price, a senior who wrestles at 135 pounds, went 7-0 last week, including a first-place medal at the Chippewa Valley Team Wrestling Tournament. Price also earned his 100th career victory during the week. He has a 3.9 GPA and will attend Michigan State in the fall.

    Stepp, a senior, is a team captain who wrestles at 125 pounds. His season highlights include Stepp posting the 100th victory of his career. He did so with a technical fall against an Addison wrestler. Stepp plays soccer, carries a 4.0 GPA and is in symphonic and marching bands. He also is a volunteer for the Chatterton Middle School wrestling program.

  • Tris'styn Williams

    Anchor Bay

    Williams, averaging a double-double through nine games, had 28 points and 23 rebounds over a two-game span as the Tars posted MAC Blue Division victories over L?Anse Creuse and Warren-Mott.

  • Dmonta Harris

    Basketball - Boys
    New Haven

    Harris, a 6-4 senior, had 26 points and 20 rebounds in an 83-44 MAC Gold victory over Sterling Heights on Jan. 22. He had 18 points, six rebounds, three assists and three steals plus a momentum-building dunk in a 49-34 Gold victory over Warren Woods-Tower on Jan. 20.
