Three mid-Michigan track and field stars will be competing in the Midwest Meet of Champions on Saturday on the campus of Ohio Wesleyan in Delaware, Ohio.

Ithaca seniors Emily Foster and Courtney Allen and Clare senior Kasey Staley will all compete in the meet as members of Team Michigan. The team from Michigan will compete against All-Star teams from Ohio and Indiana for the team title.

Field events are scheduled to start at 12:30 p.m. while running events will commence at 1 p.m.

Foster will compete in the 300 hurdles while Allen will run the 800 and run a leg of the 3,200 relay.

Staley will compete in the pole vault in this senior-only meet.

Foster is a four-time All-Stater for the Jackets as she finished third in the 300 hurdles at last weekend's Division 3 state finals. She was also fifth in the event as a junior.

As a sophomore she ran a leg in the 400 relay, which finished fourth in the season-finale, while she also garnered All-State honors as a freshman as she ran a leg in the 800 relay which finished fourth. Foster also helped the 2016 Jackets win the D3 team title.

Allen earned All-State honors in track seven times during her prep career. She was third in the 800 in 2016 and 2017 and fourth in the event in 2015. She was also seventh in the 3,200 as a freshman and ran legs in three relay teams that finished in the top eight at the D3 finals.

Staley won her second-straight state championship in the pole vault last weekend in the D3 finals at Comstock Park when she cleared 12-0. She won the title in 2016 by clearing a D3 finals state record height of 12-4. She also helped the 2016 Lady Pioneers win the MITCA team state title.

Staley was runner-up at the D3 finals as a freshman and sophomore.
