Monday’s Prep Roundup: Kunse records double-double, helps lift Clare past Farwell in girls basketball

CLARE - Natalee Kunse registered 25 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and two steals and Clare knocked off Farwell, 51-32, in girls basketball action Monday.

Kayla Junge added nine points, seven rebounds, two blocks and two steals and Lexy Harton chipped in with six points and five assists for Clare (12-5 overall, 10-2 JPC).

Hockey

- Mt. Pleasant 3, Lapeer West 2 (OT) - (From Saturday) At Lapeer, Kyle Trucks contributed a goal and an assist, Mason Pinwar and Nodin Jackson each added a goal apiece and Aaron Friedlein made 20 stops in net for Mt. Pleasant.

Boys Bowling

- (From Saturday) At Beaverton, Beaverton took first place with a grand total of 3913 at the eight-team Jack Pine Conference Team Challenge Tournament it hosted. Gladwin (3874) followed in second, while Clare (3828), Harrison (3423) and Farwell (3362), came in third, fourth, and fifth, respectively. Sanford-Meridian (3127) was sixth, while Houghton Lake (3044) came in seventh and Roscommon (2725) was eighth.

Girls Bowling

- (From Saturday) At Beaverton, Gladwin took first place with 3682 points at the eight-team Jack Pine Conference Team Challenge Tournament hosted by Beaverton. Beaverton (3076) followed in second, while Sanford-Meridian (3040) came in third, Farwell (2841) was fourth and Clare (2740) took fifth place. In sixth was Houghton Lake (2168), while Harrison (1487) came in seventh and Roscommon (1223) was eighth.
