Mt. Pleasant Sacred Heart Academy quarterback Ian Ruggles had a statistically stellar senior season in 2016.
The 6-foot-3 signal caller threw for 2,279 yards and 22 touchdowns in leading the Irish to a postseason berth and an overall record of 5-5.
He also completed 181-of-294 passes and averaged 228 yards per game en route to setting five regular-season and single-game school records at SHA.
In recent weeks Ruggles received an invite to play in the fourth annual NUC All-American Game in Atlanta in late December.
This senior-only game will take place on Dec. 30 and pits the North team versus the South in a showcase event.
Ruggles, who will play on the North team, will also take part in two days of practices and combine events to show off his skills.
In 2016 he had three four-touchdowns passing games and set the single game records for completions (31) and passing yardage (396).
He also rushed for 145 yards and four scores and had two interceptions on defense.
