Mt. Pleasantís hockey team improved to 13-4 on the season Wednesday night as it beat Bay City 2-1 at I.C.E. Arena.

The Oilers opened the scoring in the second period when Nodin Jackson took a pass from Isaac Angera and found the back of the net for a 1-0 advantage.

Bay City tied it at 1-1 in the third before Angera netted the game-winner to give the hosts a 2-1 lead.

Max Trucks and Zach Heeke both assisted on the goal.

Andrew Lambert stopped 22 of 23 shots in net for the victors.

The Oilers host Midland Dow at 2 p.m. Saturday.
