The Beal City baseball team won its own invite Saturday to improve to 22-3 on the season.

The Aggies opened with a 7-5 win over Frankenmuth before besting Kenowa Hills 11-2.

Chase Rollin won the opener as he allowed four earned runs on seven hits while walking three and striking out two in six innings.

Ty Rollin went 2-for-2 while Nick Hoogerhyde went 3-for-4 with two RBIs. Luke Farrell also had two hits.

Ty Rollin (7-1) won the title game as he allowed three hits and two earned runs while striking out seven.

He also had two hits and drove in two with a triple.

Chase Rollin had two hits and drove in three while Kevin Bleise doubled.

The Chippewa Hills softball team fell in the finals of the Beal City Invite Saturday as it opened with a 2-0 win over Harrison before losing in the title game to Gladwin 6-5.

In the title game the Warriors (19-6) led 5-3 into the fifth when the Flying Gís took the lead for good.

Hali Earl had two hits, including a RBI double, while Olivia Wolfe also doubled.

Cassidy Johnson won the opener as she didnít allow a run on seven hits while striking out six in seven frames.

Rachel Lobert had two hits, including a triple, while Lotte Halm and Earl both had hits.

Harrison (14-8) went 1-1 on the day as it lost to Chippewa Hills 2-0 in the opener before besting the host Aggies 2-0.

Allison Lipovsky lost the opener as she allowed no earned runs on three hits while striking out 14 in six innings. She also had two hits.

Katelyn Sherrick had two hits and a stolen base while Danielle Cullen had two hits. The Hornets stranded 10 runners on base in the loss.

In game two Lipovsky allowed no runs on one hit while striking out 13 in seven innings.

Sherrick had a hit and a run while Toni Fletcher singled and doubled. Cullen also had an RBI hit.
