Carson City’s boys basketball team topped Coleman 49-38 Thursday via a 18-9 third-quarter run.

Rhett Pringle had 13 points while Kyler Simmon had 11 points, nine rebounds and four assists.

Arron Haines also had 10 points for the Eagles (5-2, 4-0) while Grant Gage had 10 rebounds.

Matt Warner had 18 points for the Comets (2-5) and three assists while Colton Morley had nine points and three assists. Jarid Walton had six points and 12 boards for Coleman with Zack Frazer adding seven boards and Lars Murray five.

SHA 52, Montabella 34

Mt. Pleasant Sacred Heart improved to 5-1 overall and to 4-0 in MSAC play Thursday as it beat visiting Montabella 52-34.

The Irish took an 18-5 lead at the end of one and cruised from there to the win.

Kevin Gamble had 14 points for the Irish while Justin Cowell and Kyle Pronick had seven apiece.

Brady Burggren, Chase Murray and Cayden Nisonger all had 10 points for the Mustangs.

Fulton 54, Dansville 43

DANSVILLE – The Fulton High School boys basketball team improved to 6-1 overall and to 4-1 in conference play Thursday as it beat host Dansville 54-43.

The Pirates fell behind 8-2 in the opening quarter but clawed back to within three at 22-19 by the half. A 15-6 run in the third put them in the lead for good.

Dalton Trefil had 14 points to lead the way with Gregg Jones adding in 10 points and Jake Litwiller six rebounds.
