OKEMOS - The Mt. Pleasant High School hockey team won its second straight game Saturday as it topped host Okemos by a final of 5-4.

Max Heeke scored the first goal for the Oilers (3-6-2) on an assist from Robert Backus as the game went to the second period tied 1-1.

Zach Heeke scored on an assist from Collin Lambert in the second period, while Lambert scored a goal of his own on an Alex Dickinson assist to make it a 3-3 game through two periods.

In the third, Zach Heeke put in his second goal of the contest with Dickinson again registering the assist.

Bryce Bolles scored an unassisted goal later in the period for the clinching tally.

Aaron Friedlein made 25 saves in the winning effort.
