BAY CITY – Mt. Pleasant improved to 3-0 overall and to 3-0 in the Saginaw Valley League Thursday as it topped Bay City Central 82-45.

Kalebb Perry and Anton Cotton had 12 points apiece for the Oilers while Jaleel Hogan had nine. Tim Wilson also had 10 with Aaron Leasher adding in nine and Austin Ferguson eight.

Carson City 73, Ashley 28

Carson City topped Ashley in MSAC action Thursday by a final of 73-28.

Kyler Simmons had 14 points for the Eagles (3-1, 2-0) while Grant Gage had 13 and Spencer Harwood 10.

Cole Welch had five points and six rebounds for Ashley with Domingo Gutierrez adding in six and Klayton Kremer five.

Vestaburg 73, Montabella 50

The Vestaburg boys basketball team collected its first Mid-State Activities Conference win Thursday with a 73-50 victory at Montabella.

DeWayne McKinney recorded a double-double with 21 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Wolverines (3-1, 1-1 MSAC), while Keegan Scott registered 16 points, four rebounds and four assists. Jared Hilden also reached double figures with 16 points and five boards.

For Montabella (1-2, 1-1 MSAC), Chase Murray posted a game-high 22 points with Brady Burggren adding in 11.

Laingsburg 38, Fulton 36

LAINGSBURG – The Fulton boys basketball team dropped a 38-36 decision at Laingsburg Thursday evening.

Nathan Davis led the way for the Pirates (3-1, 1-1 CMAC) with nine points and 14 rebounds, while Dalton Trefil and Colton Antes each tallied eight points apiece.

Gregg Jones also had seven points for Fulton.
