EAST LANSING — The Mt. Pleasant High School girls golf team is currently 14th out of 15 teams following Friday’s first day of the Division 2 state finals, ending with a 416. Okemos leads with a 326.

Lauren Lyon paced the Oilers with a 92, while Emily Gunning shot a 103. Whitnee Foote came in with a 110 and Sam Berryill a 111. Katie Flanagan finished with a 114.


Colosky tied for fifth

BATTLE CREEK — Farwell High School junior Bria Colosky shot an 84 Friday, tying her for fifth as an individual at the Division 4 golf state finals hosted at Bedford Valley in Battle Creek.

Colosky is seven strokes behind Jacqueline Setas of Lansing Catholic Central, who shot a 77.

Farwell senior Sammie Baldwin shot a 90 and is tied for 16th place.

Day two begins Saturday morning at 10 a.m.
