PREP VOLLEYBALL ROUNDS: Chippewa Hills remains perfect in CSAA

The Chippewa Hills High School volleyball team continued its winning ways in the Central State Activities Association Wednesday with a 3-0 victory over visiting Big Rapids.

The Warriors (23-5, 5-0 CSAA) won 25-15, 25-11 and 25-12 to keep pace with Class C No. 5 Morley-Stanwood in the race for a conference title.

Olivia Wolfe registered nine kills for Chippewa Hills, while Calle Stirn tallied three aces. Morgan Koziarz also totaled 12 digs and Rachel Boerma collected three blocks.

Sharks stay perfect in TVC West

MERRILL ó The St. Louis High School volleyball team picked up a 25-8, 25-13, 25-7 victory Wednesday at Merrill.

The Sharks (35-5-2, 4-0 TVC West), ranked No. 1 in Class C, were led by Bri Alspaugh as she had 10 kills and two aces. Brooke Tubbs contributed eight kills, seven aces, and seven digs. Amanda Bajena notched seven kills, five digs, and one ace. Sam Shankster had nine aces and seven digs, while Kenya house added six kills. Michaela Austin dished out 28 assists.

Fulton edges Bath in five sets

Fulton defeated visiting Bath Wednesday evening by scores of 25-27, 25-23, 25-23, 15-25 and 15-10.

Amanda Madden led the Pirates (17-12, 3-2 CMAC) with 12 kills, 11 digs and two blocks, while Hannah Baker collected 12 kills and four digs. Monica Tabor also contributed three digs and 18 assists and Brooke Seida recorded 23 digs.



Alma falls to Hemlock

Alma lost to Hemlock in four games Wednesday by scores of 18-25, 25-19, 24-26, 16-25.

Alicia Seeley had three aces and seven kills while Cali Anderson had 10 kills and 23 digs. Falynne Hudecz added in 22 digs.



Breckenridge bounces Ithaca

Breckenridge hosted Ithaca Wednesday night and won in four games, 15-25, 25-20, 25-19, 25-11.

The Huskies (8-19, 2-2) had 22 aces on the night en route to the win.

Amber Brown had 12 aces, 23 assists and 17 digs with Gabby Foord adding in 15 digs, seven kills and five aces.

Alison Willman added in seven kills, 13 digs and three blocks.



Ashley tops Coleman

Colemanís volleyball team lost to Ashley Tuesday by scores of 14-25, 23-25, 12-25.

Chelsea Gordon and Carley Starnes each had four kills while Starnes had six kills. Grace Staley had 18 assist with Gordon and Starnes adding in 15 digs and Brianna Ranck 13.
