Mt. Pleasant Sacred Heart senior Ian Ruggles signed his National-Letter-of-Intent on Friday with Concordia University.

Ruggles will play football for the Cardinals starting this fall.

In 2016 the 6-foot-3 quarterback completed 181-of-294 passes for 2,279 yards and 22 touchdowns. He averaged 228 yards through the air per game and set five SHA single-game and single-season records.

Ruggles also ran for 145 yards and intercepted two passes on the defensive side of the ball for SHA.
