DAKOTA 12, CHIPPEWA VALLEY 7: Brendan Arena’s grand slam helped stake Dakota (5-2 MAC Red, 13-4) to a 6-0 lead in the first inning, and the Cougars went to the road victory. Winning pitcher Maurice Moon struck out two. Andrew Manduzzi hit a three-run home run for Dakota.

GROSSE POINTE NORTH 3, FORD 2: Pierce Banks pitched a complete game, tossing nine strikeouts, four walks and one unearned run. On offense, he was 2-for-4 at the plate with a RBI and a run scored. Evan Trout went 2-for-3 with a double and Justin Michalski was 1-for-4 with a RBI. Grosse Pointe North (6-3 MAC White, 8-7) takes on L’Anse Creuse on Monday.

LAKE SHORE 3, ANCHOR BAY 1: Andrew Prykucki had a squeeze bunt in the top of the seventh inning to put the Shorians up by one and Alex Sudney was 2-for-3 with two runs scored to lead Lake Shore (3-5 MAC Blue, 4-8). Blase Buddinski pitched a compute game, allowing four hits and Jon Brown was 2-for-4. Lake Shore takes on Anchor Bay on Friday.

LAKEVIEW 8, FRASER 3: Nick Dozek (RBI) scored three times and drew three walks and Mitchell Cunha had an RBI to lead the Huskies (3-6 MAC Gold, 6-13). Hunter Brown tossed a three-hitter for the win.

CENTER LINE 5, CLAWSON 3: Kyle Luger went the distance for the win, striking out 11 and giving up five hits. Blake Thompson drove in two on two hits and scored two runs, while Troy Jones had three hits and scored twice and Luger (RBI) had two hits for the Panthers (4-3 MAC Silver, 9-3).

WARREN-MOTT 11, LINCOLN 1: Conner Smith went five innings, striking out five and allowing four hits for the Marauders. Mavrick Dube (two runs), Pierson Heythaler (two RBI, run) and Collin Skorupski (double, run) had two hits each.

RICHMOND 12-7, ALGONAC 2-0: In the first game, Jake Schmidt was the winning pitcher, striking out 11 and giving up two hits. On offense, Jake Thomas, Dan Fistler and Dustin Leach all had two hits, while Schmidt had a two-run home run. In the second game, Zach Leach (eight strikeouts, three innings) and Dillon McInerney (four innings) combined for a perfect game on the mound. Dustin Leach and Austin Harvey also had two hits each. Richmond (8-0 BWAC, 14-3) takes on Tecumseh on Saturday.

PARKWAY CHRISTIAN 0-5, UNIVERSITY LIGGETT 1-1: Todd Krolewski and winning pitcher Ryan Stewart had three hits apiece to lead Parkway Christian in the second game. Stewart struck out four. He drove in two runs. Austin Fuller doubled and knocked in a pair of runs as the Eagles left their record at 5-1 in the MIAC Blue and 13-5 overall. In the first game, Parkway Christian sophomore right-hander Riley McManus struck out six and allowed two hits in a complete-game performance.

ARMADA 7, ROMEO 6: With two outs in the top of the seventh, Logan Vettraino (two walks) drove in Chris Noble (three hits, walk) and Grant Grabowski for the Tigers (13-4). Jordan Zapinski (RBI) had two hits and Frank Gerlando plated two. Travis Penzien got the win, fanning four.

NOTRE DAME PREP 1-10, LUTHERAN NORTH 0-1: In the opener, Brad Kotenko had three hits and drew a walk, while losing pitcher Aaron Haywood gave up two hits and fanned five for the Mustangs (2-6 Catholic League AA, 3-7). David Starkey had a hit and walked in the nightcap.
