ROUNDUP: Eisenhower blanks Warren Woods-Tower

EISENHOWER 7, WARREN WOODS-TOWER 0: Derian Doherty twirled a two-hitter for the Eagles, who bumped their record to 2-0.

Ryan Chargo and Brendan Larue had two hits each. Chargo also knocked in three runs.

Ike plays at L’Anse Creuse North Wednesday.

FORD 15, LAKEVIEW 0: Junior righty Matt Domke went the distance in this four-inning affair. He gave up just three hits and fanned three.

Colin Cornwell reached base three times, scored twice and had two hits. Donnie Schuster had two hits and knocked in three runs. Spencer Carson tallied two hits and two RBI.

The Ford Falcons (1-0) welcome Armada Wednesday for a 4 p.m. game.

WARREN-MOTT 11, STERLING HEIGHTS 0: Senior pitcher Dustin Rutter threw four innings. He struck out six and scattered three hits in the season opener for both squads.

Sophomore Brendan Moine tossed two scoreless innings. He struck out three. Moine also went 3-for-4 and knocked in three runs. Senior Garrett Mandel went 2-for-3 with four RBI. Nolan Mandel, a sophomore, had two hits.

The Marauders (1-0) play Sterling Heights again Wednesday.

NON LEAGUE

STEVENSON 5, BROTHER RICE 4: The comeback kids did it again Tuesday.

Just about 24 hours after edging Rochester 4-3 by scoring two in the seventh, the Titans did it to Brother Rice on its home field. With the score tied 4-4 heading into the seventh, Steve Tamburro doubled home Dawson Schrum. Tamburro had two singles and a double.

Relief pitcher Bryce Dudal got the win. He threw the final three innings, gave up three hits and struck out three. Starter Garrett Navarra also pitched well. He went the first four innings and struck out five.

Luke McGuire had two hits and an RBI. Johnny Teolis, Todd Paperd and Mario Camiletti all had RBI singles.

Stevenson (2-0) travels to Grosse Pointe North Wednesday.
