It took Stevensonís baseball team a while to get going Monday.

But once the Titans did, Dakota could do nothing about it.

Stevenson erased a three-run hole, sparked by a five-run fifth inning to down the Cougars, 7-3, in a MAC Red game.

Jacob Zelenak led off the fifth with an infield single and then stole second. Mario Camilletti and Devin Dudal followed with RBI singles. Zach McGuire was then hit by a pitch to load the bases for Simon Lidwellís bases clearing hit.

Tyler Menrath also had a RBI in the inning

McGuire went six innings for the win, scattering eight hits and striking out six, while Frank DíAsenzo earned the save. Mike Marsee (double) and Camilletti had two hits each.

CHIPPEWA VALLEY 3, EISENHOWER 1: Senior right-hander Alex Kulmatycki pitched a complete game with three strikeouts and Pat Briningstool had two hits for Chippewa Valley (2-2, 7-4). Ethan Vaglaniczny had an RBI single in the seventh when the Big Reds broke a 1-1 tie with two runs.

LíANSE CREUSE NORTH 9, GROSSE POINTE SOUTH 3: Jake Cassani (two walks, four RBI), Joe Schulwitz (three runs, RBI) and Brendan Peck (two doubles, run) had two hits each for the Crusaders (2-2, 5-5). Matt Henderson went the distance for the win, striking out two.


L'ANSE CREUSE 11, FORD 0: Brendan Craven was 4-for-4, with two RBI and two runs scored to pace the Lancers (3-1, 11-3). Jake Hugall (two runs), Griffin Worzella (two runs, steal), Aaron Dyke and Alex Dyke (two doubles) had two hits and two RBI apiece. Eddie Gietzen allowed three hits, struck out three and walked one.

GROSSE POINTE NORTH 8, ROMEO 0: Freshman right-hander Chad Lorkowski (3-0) struck out a season-high 13 and Steven Levick hit a two-run home run to lead Grosse Pointe North (2-2, 5-4). Alex Kracht hit a two-run single in the sixth, and he tripled ahead of Alex Hugeninís RBI single in the fifth as Grosse Pointe North handed Romeo its first division defeat. Henry Burghardt tripled in a run in the seventh. Romeo is 3-1 and 5-5.

COUSINO 10, WARREN-MOTT 1: Christian Lux had three hits and two RBI for the Patriots (4-0, 8-5), who had 10 different players with a hit. Evan Gugnacki struck out five for the win.

UTICA 7, PORT HURON 0: Jack Kraemer drove in a run after Blake Sheridan singled and Justin DeWitt bunted for a hit in the fifth, and Utica scored all of its runs in the frame to win behind Caden Ebeling, who struck out 10. Sheridan had three hits and RJ Pinto and Paul Marble drove in two runs for Utica (3-1, 7-6). Nathan Daniels drove in a run.


WARREN WOODS-TOWER 3, FRASER 2: Keegan Sikorski struck out seven for his third win of the season. He also had two hits and two RBI. Nick Kay and Andrew Capone had two hits and scored a run each.


ROSEVILLE 8, STERLING HEIGHTS 0: Evan Gates tossed a two-hitter, striking out eight for the Panthers (1-0, 3-2). Chris Wild and Kyle Evans had two hits and two RBI each, while Matt Fowler (RBI) contributed two hits.


MADISON 12, CLINTONDALE 8: Demetric Knight drove in five and Trevor Barndollar got the win.

SOUTH LAKE 16, LINCOLN 0: Andy Butkowicz was 2-for-3 with a double and six RBI to lead the Cavaliers (3-1, 5-2). Jacob Hardecki (double, RBI) had three hits and Justin Tringali drove in two on two hits. Justin Baatz struck out five and didnít allow a hit in two innings for the win.

FITZGERALD 4, NEW HAVEN 2: Macarlis Pender tossed a no-hitter and fanned 11 for the Spartans (2-2, 4-5). He also drove in a run and stole a base. Colton Haberek had two hits and scored two runs, while Michael Victory had a RBI and John Walton doubled.


PARKWAY CHRISTIAN 5, OAKLAND CHRISTIAN 2: Connor Mead, Alex Julio and Jacob Bambrick combined on a one-hitter and nine strikeouts for the Eagles (4-6). Montana Essian (two runs) and Andrew Manier had two hits each.
